I remember many many mancs saying time for fergie to retire after not winning the league for a second year in a row to chelsea after losing a few to Arsenal.

Noone wanted Woy, his football was really bad a times, totally awful tactics and tell me this you tool fistian, how would you feel about Fergie saying he couldn't stop wayne going to City to the media?

Of course someone like Fistian would be leading those calls for fergie to retire back then. Berb too.

Cheers for that.........Good to have the opinon of someone not only a united supporter but also a Swansea resident......I dont think we can expect miracles straight away, but hopefully the style of football will keep all fans onside.....

Speaking of Swansea.......9 days off after today...think I may have to head down to three cliffs bay on the Gower if the weathers good......One of my fav places in the UK

Beautiful mate. Don't live too far from there myself, where do you usually stay?

We usually go to a place called Langland as it's five minutes away, ever been there? Bit more convenient with kids as there a a few cafes, a restaurant, toilets etc which you don't get at Three Cliffs.

BBF you ******ed c**t ... when you resort to personal insults like that I must be hitting a nerve..<doh>

I have never ever called for Fergie to retire, even in the days when we did not win any trophies never mind not winning the title. When you have lived through the Sexton years, the Fergie years are like paradise...

I can't see why you are so upset about what people are saying about Rodgers. I do think he is a big gamble but having said that he is IMO much better than the buffoon. At least now you have got a chance whereas with KKK you could only go backwards.

    It's all he's got, he's a ****ing cock.

Spends his life on our board spitting illiterate, drunken bile and is never on the Liverpool board. I think they all realise he's a **** too.

Whats with the we?,the United board went against the wishes of the Utd support and decided to keep AF as your manager.

We(the Liverpool support)never sacked Roy,if our influence over FSG is as strong as you think why then did they go against the majority's wishes to keep Kenny for at least one more season?

Rodgers will be given time because FSG have said so,and if he gets his P45 early it'll be because FSG say so.

    Adieu mon amis.

I park up on the main road, near a few little shops. Walk through a couple of hundred meters of woodland and out into the valley that ends up at Three cliffs....we just camp anywhere on the valley floor with the castle up above us......Then in the morning, i basically leg it down to the beach and just dive in.......Love it there, so beautiful.......We always get told we are not supposed to be camping there, but i usually just come out with a few words of welsh and everybodys happy...lol

ive got a good mate who lives in bishopston...man utd fan actually..lol

I live in Mayals down the hill from bishopston towards mumbles, my girlfriend teaches at bishopston school as it goes. You'll know the Joiners and Valley then? Good pubs. Yeah, great place is Three Cliffs, really spectacular.

Of course you posted this from just over the road from anfield, and you attend every single home fixture yeah?

Were you born this much of a hypocrite and this thick or was it the pints of vodka you quaff daily? <laugh>
Lay off the juice lad, you're getting more and more moronic as each day passes.

Whilst Liverpool fans lauded Rafa as a hero after his rant against Sir Alex, despite the rest of the World laughing at him.

Rodgers will do well to brush up on the potential Fergie put downs. That will raise the spirits of the scousers. Some of the moronic fans still think they had a successful season: winning the Carling cup <laugh>

    Glad LFC didn't appoint Martinez.

Not to sure about Rodgers. Don't think he's a bad manager and could very well be a good appointment if LFC and the board give him time. But I always thought Swansea and their style of play was put in place by Martinez, Rodgers just picked up where he left off. If you attribute Swansea's great foundation to Martinez then Rodgers really hasn't done anything of note yet.

Maybe some Swans fans can enlighten us as to who did more for their club.

Rodgers is a solid appointment. They were never getting a superstar in their current state so an up and coming manager with a positive style of play really is a best case scenario.

It will however take a lot of time and backing if he is to have any effect. I dont think anyone could hustle their current squad to 4th.

i don't know why this is even a big topic, Manager's come and go at mid table clubs which is something we're used to seeing.

i know many people say its Liverpool but Liverpool are no longer a top team, they are just mid table clubs like Everton and Aston Villa,Liverpool's days of being in the top four was over since 2009.

Good luck to the new manager but if he doesn't do well for the first few months i feel for him cos the scouser's fans will be calling out for a sack and player's won't perform good, remember what about to Roy (now england manaer) in his time at liverpool?
