Allegedly its Scowen and Leadbitter thats had the fall out with Parky
Can anyone blame them?
Is it not just a case of he told them that they were being dropped and naturally they wouldn't be happy about it not that they have fallen out and they are dropped for none footballing reasons.
Apparently more than that
I’m sure it is Leadbitter has been fine all season
Something not good has happened
Tension could be coming from the fact that takeover rumours are breaking out at the club.
I passed the AoL and SoL yesterday, nothing looked blown up, nor sign of blood and carnage... haway somebody will have had a word... Leadbitter telling Jurassic he's crap?
I'm guessing that the fall-out is over tactics. We're not going to score many goals playing like this, kind of thing.
I doubt it's a personal clash, like McGeady was.
Well we did hear a bit on hear yesterday
Maybe after the game we could get more info ????
Phil Parkinson is confident Sunderland can return to winning ways on Tuesday night at Rochdale – provided we are consistent with our game plan.
The Lads suffered our first Sky Bet League One defeat of the season on Saturday as Portsmouth took all three points from the Stadium of Light, but the manager is in full focus and looking forward.
“They've had a couple of good results in their last two away games,” Parkinson pointed out.
“They will have a similar style to when we played them last year – albeit with more of a mixture to their game this time around – and we were excellent against them last time out.
“So we know what we've got to do, but it's important we implement what we need to do better and more consistently across the 90 minutes than we did at the weekend.”
The boss claimed that dominating matches has provided the team with a lot of defensive solidity this season, and that this approach needs to be enforced once more at the Crown Oil Arena.
“The key for us is to get back to imposing ourselves on the opposition across the course of the game. I said in the lead up to the Portsmouth game that we've done well this season in terms of clean sheets, but a lot of that has been because we have been the team in the ascendancy through games.
“We've pressed the ball high and put teams under pressure, which has limited the amount of attacks they've been able to have against us. We need to get back to that at Rochdale.
“We know it’s our first defeat and that knocks you, but it’s important not to let it affect us too much – 14 points is a good return from the games we’ve had so far. But we know we’re at our best when we get right on top of teams and press them all over the pitch.”
Finally, Parkinson gave an indication as to whether recent signing Dion Sanderson could be in line for his debut, as well as updating us on the condition of Tom Flanagan and progress of Elliot Embleton.
“Tom feels fine and Dion has had a little bit more training time with us, so both are available for selection.
“Elliot came through Monday’s Under-23 match [unscathed] and did well, so I'm really pleased with that.”
You usually get a few texts, etc, after a game when various people are at the club, having a drink and tongues wag ...
... sadly that isn't happening with the lockdown so it's grindingly quiet.
I'll go for us to win 2-1, but still potential suicides over the road and continual moans as soon as King Charlies name appears on team sheet.
I will leave my moans until the match develops. You never know he may have a stormer..
Hope so for the take over and not tension within team.
Need 3 points tonight like
I cannot see how rumblings of a takeover would effect the players
It would depend who's buying and whether the manager has a future I suppose.
Well he's scored a few now so there's hope mate.
Ahh... my grandchildren love Unicorns. My little (puke) pony is now big into them.
The moral, we all want to believe in fairy stories... "keep clapping your hands" it may happen
Not confident for some reason. Take a scrappy 1-0
Daft question, but if I redeem my SC streaming code for tonight's game, will it impact my refund at the end of the season i.e. in June will they say you watched one match on SAFSee, so you don't get any of your money back?
If so, I'll pay for the pass instead. Usually use IPTV, so haven't needed to pay, but am away at the moment and can't access it.
cos we are ****e perhaps ?
