Really, how many leads did we throw away this season with Nige? They look fitter, stronger and have more belief to me.

I wasn’t on about throwing away leads I meant effort and commitment.

well on paper all round a good night however we could, worse case scenario be facing Watford from 12th place!
Likely no draw at B;ackburn .........Norwich Cardiff and Middsbro all likely winners

It’s a solid start for LM, honestly it’s pretty miserable at times and that’s a fact, it’s not great to watch, we are good in short spells throughout the game, but his subs changed the game tonight so fair play. Slowly but surely he’s making his stamp on this team.

May take so far Liam v Nige

Nige set the side up hard to beat-the players gave their all. However goals were hard to come by.

Liams side are more attacking and clearly causing more attacks and shots on goal.-players giving their all for him.
He seems to have got a tune out of Mehmeti he is looking much better under him.

My take never in a million years did I expect 6 points from Sunderland and Hull.
    That is impressive.
Clearly Manning is getting something right.
We came out the ground and said the last two games have been the best entertainment for a long time.
Keep up the good work Liam.

if he can get a 9 in the window then we really could do something in the playoffs.
Let’s hope Santa Lansdown releases some of that 40 million on those two transfers.

My impression was they know the system they play, we don’t yet know ours. We play well is patches but at times were chasing shadows a bit. Mehmeti different player under Manning. Excellent win against a decent side. Well done lads.

Watched the game but wasn’t in the position to comment during. Thought we were by far the best side up until we scored our Pen then totally turned off.. Dickie got caught alllwing the shot to give the equaliser.. Their pen was a farce giving them the lead.. Thought we came out in the second half with good positivity.. deserved the win in the end. Another 3 points against a very good side..
well done to Liam and the team..

I think that’s fair. The team are still learning how Liam wants them to play, It’s very different to Nige’s style, so will take time, but the green shoots are definitely there.

Funny how people see it differently. I couldn’t go last night as Mrs out and I had the granddaughter recovering from tonsillitis.
Last night was probably the first where I watched the game rather than watching and on match day threads.
Yes they looked good, but so did we and our press before the pen was great to watch. We did get sloppy and let them back into it, and then a farce of a penalty. Second half it only looked like us scoring.
Mehmetti is getting better and better as well. So I’m glad he got to stay on as I was worried when I saw the subs that Bell was going to replace him. Plus barring that back pass but could see what he was trying to do but got it wrong, it was good to have Nahki back as he was holding the ball up well.

I’m a fan of Nige, but his main downfall imo was home form. I think it’s 3 wins in 4 at home for manning, if he can keep that up he’ll win the fans over.

I’ll never approve of how the board treated Nige at the end, but I’m a City fan, I’m more concerned how we play and besides it not Mannings fault what happened, and it’s water under the bridge.

I think he tried to change things too quickly when he first arrived, he seems to have learned from his mistake, and now seems to be integrating his way more slowly, evolution rather than revolution.

Looking good so far -agree Nige did not deserve the sack but Liam looks like he can produce so far so good.

From what I’ve seen so far (from my Swindon bedroom) we now seem to be confident of shooting from distance and it’s paying dividends.
Not sure if Nige told them not to do that (?) but we seemed to try and walk the ball in before.
The number of penalties we have been getting recently also can’t be a coincidence, can it?
