It's called a gesture of goodwill to me by my club for supporting my club financially (unlike many who have demanded refunds for last season and this coming season) through these difficult financial times.

A gesture of goodwill of £10 for the thousands that I spent last season supporting my team, a gesture that will make me feel like I am a valued as a customer and not just another customer, a gesture of goodwill for leaving my club £500 better off than had I demanded last years and this years season ticket money back (again like many did).

From what I am reading on social media, quite a few fans are prepared to ask for a full refund of this coming seasons season ticket payments, many of them hold multiple tickets for family members, fans who were prepared to do the right thing financially to help the club through these difficult times. Maybe if that happens then the club and people like yourself will wake up to the reality of this yet another PR disaster to add to the litany of recent PR disasters.

The club needs to learn to treat it's fans better.

If they demand refunds all the more better for me. When the fans start coming back into the grounds at the rumoured 30% then out of the 12k ST holders this season only 9k will be allowed in. So I’m hoping at least 3k of the 12k demand their money back so I’m guaranteed my entry.
No club is offering the free stream to cup games, same as they don’t allow free entry for ST holders. The club’s need all the money they can generate at the moment so I’m fine with paying the £10 plus not get a refund for this and last season x 2.

I am glad you are happy, let's see how it impacts on the club financially, compared to an offer of goodwill, there is a lot of anger about this issue. I suspect your wish that 3k fans demand refunds on their season tickets would have implications for the running of the club.

You got what you paid for. Then again maybe you are right I watched all the Harry Potter films so where was my free ticket for Fantastic Beasts and again for The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit? Shocking treatment. And I've used the same travel agent for years where's my free holiday?

That's bollox, because of the pandemic I did not get what I paid for and won't get what I paid for this season. In fact the only people who got what they paid for are the people who go now and again.

And my generosity and others but not all, benefited the club in it's time of need, especially the academy.

But hey I am sure you are right, if more people pull the plug on this up coming seasons season ticket and request refunds, that will be of great benefit to the club and it's treatment of it's customers. I mean what is an average loss of £500 per season ticket to BCFC's PR department?

You did get what you paid for because you had a choice of a refund which you turned down and chose a different option. You made the choice but still whine about it

True , but to be fair you didn’t pay Tesco upfront for a years worth of shopping, to then not be able to go shopping and then tell Tesco that’s fine, they can keep the money you’d paid for that shopping although you didn’t actually get any.

and that's not what happened here either, it would be like Tesco saying you can have a refund for the shopping you didn't receive or have this as an alternative

When Robins TV first came to pass I decided to sign up and watch all City's games at home over breakfast here in Canada. The service was poor to say the least and it did not cover any games contracted to 3rd party providers (specifically Sky Sports) or games at other teams that had either signed up with another system and refused to join the majority which included Bristol City. The lack of commentary was irksome especially given that BBC Radio Bristol was just a few boxes next door, but never the twain met.

When you have dished out good cash for virtually worthless season tickets I would expect to get this service free of charge as part of the customer service and also for it to be available for overseas supporters like myself. I am just going to check the site to see what the offerings are for this season, but unless it offers a decent video/audio package and a full slate service it looks like my 4 foot model of the Titanic might get completed.

    Keep safe one and all.:emoticon-0128-hi:

I’m a bit irritated that I got nothing for my membership fee once Covid hit. No discount on the RobinsTV at all. My family has had membership for the past 4 years.
£10 per game isn’t a bad price and I’ll be paying it, but I will NOT renew my membership this year for me, the Mrs and the Son - what’s the point?

Didn't you get value for your £20 before Covid hit then? Not sure what you would expect the club to do for you once covid hit? Surely you didn't expect to get free Robins TV like the season ticket holders?

Coming from somebody who's hope is that 25% of the clubs season ticket holders claim a refund, which I am sure even the club wouldn't be happy about, so as he can sit in his little bubble and watch all 23 home games, presumably so as he can get exactly what he paid for?

Again you are wrong, please in the interests of justice never do jury service.

I paid to watch 23 home games from my seat at Ashton Gate.

and when it was obvious you weren't going to get that you were offered a refund and you chose not to take it, so where am I wrong?

That wasn't the question, you said I got what I paid for and I never did.

And to be clear about the highlighted portion, as us season ticket holders know and you obviously do not. The offer of the refund was not originally put clearly into the 3 options, it was hidden away in the small print. The club yet again made a huge error and had to apologise and rewrite the 3 options.

When you took up the option of not taking a refund then what you had paid for had changed, you agreed to what the conditions of your option was and thus getting what you paid for under the changed conditions. Of course I know I'm a season ticket holder as well and took up the same option you did. Funny you say about the small print because nowhere did it say under any of the option that you would get free stuff in the future, which what you seem to be expecting
