Yes, that was my point. Regardless of stats and way we are playing - the results going to have to change otherwise Acun will have no choice to sack Walter. He can't afford to risk going down. We can all point to 'we were good this half and poor this half' and we'll all come up with different opinions on it. Simply though, the points are going to matter and Walter needs to find a way through with the injuries we have. Otherwise he'll be out of a job.
11 out of 17 teams above us have a better average attendance currently and burnely are 1000 off. Not 80% fair enough but attendance was only one factor.
Agreed. It's a results business. I just think we should be doing more to help the poor fecker by backing the team and helping them to a win instead of praying for a loss to get him sacked as I've seen people post on here. It's mental.
I agree with that. I'd never pray for a loss. I'd much rather Walter work out than he didn't - as I don't want any more churn. Equally though, I'm not going to shy away from saying if I think he's right for us or not. I really want him to make me eat my words.
He’s a useless prick who offers nothing positive. He has shown no sign of improvement, in any game. There has been no consistency in performance. There is no indication that players have any idea what his philosophy is. His ego is greater than his knowledge. He has improved no player. He has managed to make some players look worse. He has no clue. He got his players, he sold them a philosophy, they know it doesn’t work. He’s been found out, some saw it earlier than others. He should have been ****ed off before the 1st International break, If we’d replaced him then, with a proper Manager / Coach we, more than likely, wouldn’t be in a serious relegation fight, having to listen to his deluded self absorbed, back slapping bollocks. We could, instead, well be looking at a play-off place that recent, pre clueless Walt, performances had indicated we were capable of achieving.
I want him to come out in January and start lobbing humble pies into the crowd to replace that rubbish half time farce.
Wonder why smaller places than us down the years get better crowds than us? Maybe we don’t deserve to be higher.Though having 2 rugby teams in the city doesn’t help.
And now with Goole Vikings becoming a 3rd professional rugby league team in the area Acun and Joe have their work cut out filling that stadium each Saturday.
You are normally more sensible than that. Though I expect the HDM to devote more space to Google Vikings than City. Who know what crowds when would get if we only had 1 football team and no rugby teams in the city like similarly sized cities, and smaller ones which get better crowds, have?
He’s really not considering our performances have actually been good, having the 6th highest xG backs that up. I bet most city fans calling for Robins haven’t watched more than a game and have no idea how they set up, they just know they’ve finished in a good league position and the play offs in the past few seasons.
Is that 6th highest xG artificially inflated by three good games? What's our xG been the last 5 fixtures? Robins has several promotions, a record of developing players on the cheap, and holding a club together through difficult circumstances. Also we're not even 6th, we're 13th..? And 18th if you strip out pens.
Robins has two promotions on his CV. I know you're trying to be cute and point out some imaginary hypocrisy, but Robins has far more achievements in his time in charge of Coventry than Walter does in his career. Robins also missed out on the PL by a kick in a penalty shoot out, something that is so unquantifiable as to be disregarded. The fact of the matter is he took a Cov side mired in off-field chaos, without a ground to start the season, built on a shoestring budget, to 5th and a kick from the PL. If you want to count that as failure go ahead but it's such false equivalence to say that not being promoted to the PL is the stick Walter is being beaten with rather than the notion that he couldn't get one of the richest squads in his league promoted.
Walter also narrowly missed out on promotion with Hamburg. He’s the only manager to get them into the Bundesliga 2 play-offs since they were relegated and he did it twice back-to-back. Bundesliga 2 play-offs work differently to ours as well. They’re much harder. 3rd in Bundesliga 2 plays 16th in Bundesliga. I’m not attempting to be cute. I’m saying they both failed to get promoted to the top flight. You’re just being a prick, as per usual, to the surprise of absolutely nobody.
You're saying that Robins not getting to the PL is the equivalent of people saying Robins has never been promoted, Robins has two promotions. Ah here comes the name calling when someone points out genuine flaws in your point, rather than addressing their points like a rational adult. The podcast ratings will be coming out any moment too. Maybe your third account will have better luck.
