Is 18 goals in 19 games not enough these days to be known as a class act? The BEST strikers in the world would struggle with the service he got today. If he missed chance after chance or his passing was off the you can call him 'piss poor'. But he did not, he made runs looking for space but the ball never came and therefore the chances never came. There was a Fabregas shape hole in midfield and Van Persie is not two players. He can't link play in midfield and score the goals. Wenger needs to act, either buy a world class AM or play 2 upfront and pull Van Persie into the number 10 role.
It simply was not a sitter. He had to hit in the corner off balance against a keeper like Reina. No way is that a 'sitter'.
STOP GOING ON ABOUT SERVICE Look at the title of this thread and then wonder why I am making these comments
A title which i do not agree with. I also do not agree with calling him 'piss poor' and that today was evidence that he is complete rubbish.
I've given up even trying. The guy is so biased. The thread is about RVP being the best - The vast majority opinion is that he's not. The saying goes 'if enough people say you're a horse then you better go buy a saddle'... but this guy wont give in
You do not have the evidence to back up that claim so do not say it. I never called Torres ****e, because he is not. But he is a guy that has been off form a while now. Van Persie was had 2 average games where you can say that chances and quick passing has been at a premium for these two games. So Van Persie's 2 games does not put him in the same boat as Torres.
I have already said he is not the best, but because the OP has gone over the top does not mean you have to respond in the same way. So no today was not evidence that he his 'complete rubbish' and so on.
Your cluthching at straws sonny! If you want a more considered analyisis. RvP is not in the top 50 strikers who have played in the Premiership because his goals to games tally is not the best and he sppends more time on the treatment table. Add to that his assists % is also poor then the facts speak for themselves that he is very far from being the best.
RVP is not overated, im sorry but your talking **** out of your ass. Hes obviously not the best striker in the league but hes deffinately top 5. in my opinion it goes Tevez Rooney Van persie suarez and aguero aint proved themselves. Torres he's had one good game and chelseas currently loosing to brom so god knows he cant be doing to great. drogba's past it. anelka is also past it. and bent well he doesnt offer nothing but finishing so hes not up there at all.
Well we are not even talking about the history of the prem. At this moment he is up there with the best as last season showed. 18 goals in 19 games and the best goals to game ratio in the entire league. Those stats also speak for themselves.
You can't mention stats that are just over 19 games How about the stats for his whole Arsenal career?
