If rotten, expired, sour milk found in some abandoned landfill being documented on a programme based 20 years ago on the history channel was a person, it would be a Liverpool fan.
It's obvious that RVP is the best striker in the Premiership at the moment. If his form continues, which i think it will, he will be in for the ballon d'or.
Only if Arsenal win anything. Ballon d'or winners are only with people who win anything. It wouldn't matter if he scored 50+ goals this season, if Barca win anything Messi will get it. Ronaldo, 53 goals last year (40 in la Liga), broke all records for scoring... Messi won it. Not saying he didn't deserve to but goals mean nothing without trophies in the judges eyes.
If he stays in England he'll be top scorer in the prem again next year as well....probably for Citeh or the Chavs
i cant see city bidding for him they have balo, kun't dzeko and tevez and play 4-3-3 and only one can play, and the chavs have torres(nuff said) and with the FFP coming into effect soon and the sign of non spending in jan i cant see them paying 30 mil
You can live in hope I suppose but you really think Chelsea wouldn't drop Torres like a stone, and I hardly think City will be keeping Tevez and would worry about shifting Ballo on if they can tempt RvP. At the end of the day if he doesn't sign a contract by the end of August what choice will you have but to let him go. No business can afford to lose 50million quid.
haha i just read this post and noticed someone ACTUALLY said , really , that they would pick torres ahead of RVP . did they accidentally miss him of this list , feckin dimwits. all those fools who said they would pick someone else ( usually their useless underperforming strikers ) dont let facts get in the way of your stupid arguments will yer . Van Persie Arsenal 22 Aguero Man City 15 Ba Newcastle 15 Rooney Man Utd 13 Dzeko Man City 12 Yakubu Blackburn 12 Dempsey Fulham 10 Adebayor Tottenham 9 Bale Tottenham 9 Balotelli Man City 9 Bent Aston Villa 9 Fletcher Wolverhampton 9 Lampard Chelsea 9 Sturridge Chelsea 9 Defoe Tottenham 8 clear and away the best striker AND this is while arsenal have been DIRE and he has had little service . TORRES get an open goal and cant score. Hilarious.
3 tap ins and an assist against a team that Berbatov scored 5 against, that DEFINITELY cements his status as the PL's best striker
Well lets look at a sample some other stats

yak 16 games 39 shots

aguero 22 games 74 shots

Ba 19 games 60 shots

rooney 20 games 90 shots

RVP 24 games 109 shots

more than double the shots Yak has had, RVP is a great player having a great season so far, but little service??? as you said "dont let facts get in the way of your stupid arguments will yer"
I now agree he's the best striker on form, yes. I disagree with the timing of the bump. 3 goals against a 10 man Blackburn isn't going to change anyone's mind on Van Persie either way. If it was a hattrick against AC Milan or Barcelona then it'd be different.
