Not miles but he is the best. What he is doing right now is unreal. Leading the line, scoring more then anyone else in the league and linking the play. Phenomenal.
That's a fair assesment. You do have to realise though that at the time of this forum, it was only the start of the season so in hindsight it's easy to laugh.
Probably, try my best not to though. Drog has struggled since Jan with fitness and it all started with his Malaria, so from Jan-May I sort of understood why he was ****e. This season he has been very poor overall but on Tuesdsy showed the side we all know.
I assumed you were trying to claim that my facts were distorted, as I was the only one to post any facts on the last couple of pages, so I responded to it. I really don't see why you are so outraged that I don't rate Van Persie as highly as you do.
Ok well angry was just a figure of speech, you know what I mean. Very defensive. Especially Jaywam who I'm sure will have something to say. Like I said, only strikers I'd have over VP at the moment are Messi and Aguero.
Suarez Vs Van Persie on current form? No, Suarez Vs Van Persie on ability, yes. I think its a fair enough point. Suarez may not have the composure infront of goal for me, but he's better than Van Persie as an all rounder.
Van Persie is the third best striker in the world imo, behind Messi and Ronaldo (if you could call them strikers/forwards). Certainly the best in the EPL. That might change as time goes by, but for now, I'd certainly say that he's the best.
What more do you guys want from him to be considered the best. His statistics(Goals, Assists, Goal- game ratio etc) all proves that he isnt only good, but is best Striker in the premier league right now. Only Aguero comes close to him, if not on a par with him... RVP is in a richer vein of form,an just nicks it for me. You just wonder whether he would be in the same bracket as Messi n Ronaldo if we wasnt injury prone.
I'm not doubting that Jaywam, I'd just rather have Aguero in terms of versatility aswell as goals. He's quicker than van, good with both feet and more skillfull.
As I've said, opinions are opinions. I didn't mention that VP is more prone to injury than Aguero aswell.
Di Natale 5th. Awesome player. The biggest achievement, IMO, is Di Natale being so high in that list as he plays in a much inferior team to Van Persie in a league where there are notoriously less goals and defences are much stingier.
