I agree, RVP doesn't come across as money grabbing. But why is there so much sentiment for RVP now? It's not like he had an injury free season.....EVER. How many years have we paid his salary while he was sitting on his ass doing nothing? We live in strange times when a man has one very good season and everyones wishing him well when we're struggling? He should be expected to stay and not cut free when he's finally come good.... The truth is we're starting to feel sorry for ourselves. It's time Arsenal and his fans stood firm and told everyone else to F-off.
I agree. If RVP leaves then I wouldnt really say he has been amazing for us. Won us nothing and only had 1 injury free year. Hardly great. Not like thierry or someone like that.
What's with all this Man City bashing, what about the supposed 2 best teams in the world, Barca and Real?!?! You can't get anymore financial dodginess from them! Last time i saw, Real are heading for the La Liga titles which they appeared to have bought with LARGE sums of money from where? Shhhhhhh.
Exactly, 1 injury free season and he's 28!!! I remember when Wenger first bought the little trouble maker and no one wanted to touch him. I think some loyalty is in order don't you think?
Sorry mate but terrible example to use the spainish league. That league is a complete joke where real and barca bend all the other teams over and take almost all the tv money for the league. Levante are 4th because the spainish league has two top teams and 18 dire sides (more or less). Levantes entire footballing budget (for the year) wouldnt pay for christino ronaldo for 6 months. And that isnt unusual in that league. Even Valencia and At. Madrid are foreced to sell every year to survive.
I think we are about to go round in circles with me saying the CL & PL money made the monopoly and you saying we don't deserve to be part of that monopoly because we were given the money so i will leave it there.
Thing is Man Utd, Arsenal, L'Pool were successful before the era of the CL City is just a Mid-Table club who are backed by Rich Arabs
It makes no difference. Football isnt fair financially. And it matters not where this money came from. We have to get over that. We are richer than almost every other club so we cant really complain.
Oh the irony http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2113246/Arsene-Wenger-break-bank-Mario-Gotze.html
city fans saying people want them to break utds monopoly are delusional. city are a cancer on football, they have some of the most detestable mercenaries in the game in their team, zero loyalty or respect and are spending inordinate amounts of money. neutrals would (by and large) cheer teams like spurs or arsenal winning the league, because theyre self-made teams, built on self-wrought success. city are the opposite side of the success scale, money piled on money piled on money until the trophies are within their grasp. its horrible to watch and has made them extremely unpopular.
No the people who are delusional are the ones whos teams are in the monopoly who think only united are hated, you are hated as much as the rest, do you honestly think anyone other than an arsenal fan gives a flying **** that your manager has not spent the money he has had at his disposal on players, even your own fans have slated him here in the past for not doing so.
im not an arsenal fan, but i respect wengers style. its failed him as of late, and will continue to do so, due to clubs like city taking advantage of their inability to compete on larger wage scales. another reason people hate city, IMO
We knew we were going to be the new Chelsea when the new owners moved in but i for one would not swap where we are today for mid table mediocrity.
