I think it's just concern fans have for our club given the problems we've had with owners in the past. We're generally a cautious bunch now and like to question what we don't trust. Currently, FSG don't hold everyone's trust - certainly not aided by the sacking of one of the Kop's darlings. I'm still inclined to put faith in them for now...
The fact is though they've been here 18 months without giving any news whatsoever on the stadium we so desperately need. I think by the end of this summer we'll have a much better idea of what kind of owners they are.
i think Martinez can do a good job for you, okay he's been fighting relegation with Wigan, but he done a good job at Swansea, both clubs have'nt got as good player's as you have, although some should'nt be there.if he get's the job i hope you back him,i think he can bring the good times back,if he's given time, like you did'nt give hodgson
If the rumours are true with regards to Txiki becoming the new DoF AND Pep Segura being moved into a more technical role with the first team, then I can see the reasoning behind Martinez, who also has a Barca upbringing. I think the owners are desperate to replicate the Barca model.
the sentiment that this summer is crucial to prove FSG's credentials is a fair one i think. You see now nothing can be blamed any more. NO G&H decisions remain. no emergency fixes required . they have cleared house and the decisions they take and also playing staff they assemble this summer will define thier ownership. Frankly if one believed the press one would see martinez in charge of a squad augmented by 30million pounds and the guy would have 12 months to get cl football.
