Oh right, I've seen another "quote" that wasn't the same at all. Renault are hoping to release a statement following the operation tonight.
Thanks Alex. They are being cautious but that part about racers healing faster than others is positive.
nice one alex, thanks for that. i guess that`s about the most we can hope for at the moment considering the extent of the injuries.
SSN this morning reported that his hand had been most severed and broken arm and leg. Apparently he will be out for the season at least. Shocking news. Wish him a speedy recovery. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12473_6735403,00.html
If anyone's interested, DC has written an article on the challenges facing Kubica: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9389739.stm Quite interesting reading - proper journalism which actually has insider knowledge of F1 cars to be used as a basis for making his points!
Just seen on the BBC website, the three potential sucessors being lined up by Renault are Senna, Liuzzi and Heidfeld. The fact that they are talking to other drivers I guess pretty much rules Senna out, so will they go with the long term experience of Heidfeld, or the driver who most recently completed a season, Liuzzi? Personally, I think Heidfeld will get it, he's raced with KERS before I think, he's been around a while and managed to score more points than Kubica in a couple of seasons when they were team mates. I've always liked Heidfeld, but he's never really been able to show why he deserves to be in F1, so I'd like him to take this chance to do so. Bit ironic if Liuzzi gets booted out of Force India, and then ends up in a more competitive car - and where Sutil was trying to get in to for this season!
