The USA and Leeds midfielder has today announced he's gay, fair play to him for coming out, it must be hard for him to keep it a secret from his friends and family.

Hope this gives you enough confidence for you to come out to your family as well matt, no shame in it at all. Be brave you can do it

<laugh>

He probably retired because he was ****! Had half a decent season in MLS, by decent I mean in MLS standards and some how got called up to the National team for one game or something.

Fair play to him for coming out, took some balls.

... to the chin?

i was expecting that reaction, you wouldn't be saying that if one of our players came out and said he was gay.

I could not give a ****, if one of our players said he was gay, as long as they do there job on the pitch, thats all that matters, what they do in there private life has is no concern of mine

i first thought it is brandon rodgers

Brandon Rodgers? Who the **** is that?

Brendan Rodgers, his surname is actually a verb. It took me a while to figure that out, I thought it was a posessive noun in the sentence "Brendan Rodgers Liverpool players" but it turns out he likes to do some of them in the rusty bullet hole.
