It's a sign of a good team when you can play badly and win, i watched the man city game against villareal on tuesday and you can say the same about them winning like they did. 3 points though and knocking on the door of the top 6, were winning and in form. Make no bones about it though if we play like i heard we did yesterday i doubt we'll get anything at a rejuvinated Forest next Saturday.

Koren needs to be played in the centre hes proved that our biggest problem at the minute is left midfield.
Cairney was crap he slowed everything down with his one pace jog and sidewards passing always drifting inside giving no width or balance at all down the left.

Cairney has never been a winger though, for me Korens recent displays show that he is a CM and provides balance we now have competitive pairings in Evans/McKenna as defensive CM, and Koren/Cairney as creative CM. When we have Stewart and Garcia back we will have compitition for the flanks, Stewart/Pulsic LW, Bradey/Garcia for RW, and still have Barmby and Harper (dont laugh!!) for further midfield cover

Well, Manuel, you can guarantee that, if we rise to the occasion, have a good game, and play 'em off the field, there will be some on here who will still effing well moan - and you can just bet that one of them will be W_T_F.........!

    Sad boy....:emoticon-0106-cryin

Im not sure about that? The ball in for the fryatt goal was a poor pass helped by shocking defending.
I cant remember him having a part in Mcleans that was Rosenior and Korens was all his own work after a pass from Mckenna?
Do you think he played well yesterday OLM?

Cairney isn't a creative midfielder I'm sorry to say dispite his involvement in two goals yesterday. Far too often he slows play down, giving defenders time to pick up players and fill gaps, our strikers don't even bother looking to run into space, there's no point since by time the balls played through they'd be offside.

Leeds ripped us to pieces because there forwards were running into space and thier midfielders were playing balls through to run onto. I don't know which comes first running forwards or smart through balls but we don't seem to see this in our performance. Note Im not saying TC is the root of the problem but he is part of the problem.

To be honest, I can't remember what his involvement was in either of the two he apparently played a part in, I just noticed on another forum a discussion about Cairney playing his part in two of the goals. I thought he played okay yesterday, nothing special, but not a disaster(forgetting the fact everyone was a disaster in the first half).

After the next three games, we should see the return of Cameron, then Cairney will only make the bench anyway.

I know your not TC's biggest fan but come on. It was an excellent ball into the box for Fryatt's goal. They couldnt defend it cos of where it was. I agree he is not suited for LM. But look at the bench we had!! He played ok out of position. He isnt a Brady or Stewart, but he keeps the ball well and i thought he interchanged well with Koren and Dudgeon. I thought that ball in from TC only highlighted how wasteful Brady is with the amount of crosses he doesnt get to anyone.
Mind you, beat your man - one quick look up and its pretty difficult to spot the two midgets. While they had Keates who skinned Koren, quick look up and lofts it to the back post-simple.

Im not his biggest fan your right but hes a decent player just over rated by a lot of our fans.
A better team would of got a lot of joy down the left yesterday.
Im not having that it was a great ball for Fryatts goals have a look at it again it was a poor ball badly defended.

The key to Fryatt's goal was a fantastic blocking challenge by James Chester to break up a Watford attack. That lad is some player.

The ball in for Fryatts goal was a crap cross. He scuffed it and the defender made a hash of it and basically gave us a goal.

Have to agree with most of what you've said on this thread PFT, I am one of Cairney's fans but for me he was too quiet yesterday and did not get involved enough. He is best played next to Koren in CM no question.

Also I have to agree, I thought we looked generally very weak down the left yesterday and was far more of a threat everytime Rosenior bombed down the right and linked up brilliantly with Brady but I think Cam Stewart will solve our left sided midfield/wing problem on his return and as OLM says I can only see Cairney making the bench then.

Thats bollocks it was a great ball. Keeper darent come for it, defender darent attack it. Eustace made a lunge backwards- the thing a defender hates to do, defend facing his own goal and could only block it. If Brady could provide 50% as good as that out of the 8/9 a game he does do we would be banging them in as it is its all lovely trickery with no end product.
Either TC adapts and plays LM like Beckham used to play RM, pulling to the touchline and whipping the ball round full back rather than taking him on, or he is dropped for Pusic and waits his turn at CM.

If anything Cairney will be dropped for Stewart and both Cairney & Pusic will find themselves on the bench whilst Stewart & Brady play on the wings.
