Probably true about Nigel not being the one responsible for negotiations, but how much he wants that player will obviously have an effect on how those negotiations are handled. As for Koren's release clause, if he can speak to anyone who bids over £500k, then he can speak to them, I can't see that kicking in on a particular date, he's already in his final year.

For half a million he would be a steal. He wouldnt play 46 games but he would add competition and versatility across the middle to the team. Even if he could only play in the championship and we get promoted for 500K he would have been well worth it
