Am I the only one who thinks Fourth_Official's credibility is slightly damaged after the Bamba debacle.
I know he has got millions right in the past and this i his first big cock up but yes, his reputation has been tarnished IMO as he made out it wwas a cert.
AKCJ you must have a short memory if you think Vassell is one our worst players - he was by far one of our best players in a number of away games at the end of last season (Reading, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and even as a sub at Notts Forest). Vassell is a good squad player and does a decent job - he was of the few players that gave the Real defence problems.
Sorry, but he just isn't good enough. He is as bad as N'Guessan IMO. Vassell just runs with the ball in the direction he is facing. He doesn't score, assist goals or cross it. He isn't good enough.
Agree with MGLCFC - as a squad player Vassell could be useful. Interesting regarding Steve Howard. Sven said possibility of going out on loan. Also this Tweet: @FanhousePercy: #LCFC have rejected a bid from #Leeds to take Steve Howard on loan #lufc. I'd like to keep Howard. He gives us Championship experience and is one of the few in our squad who have actually experienced promotion to the PL. Also gives us a different option if the passing game isn't working.
AKCJ you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that - but the number of people on these sites who say 'In Sven we trust' then if Sven thinks he's good enough, just like every other Leicester player I'll give him my full support. He certainly is better than DNG in IMO as he doesn't give up when he looses the ball and he genuinely is committed (sometimes over committed) on the pitch. N'Guessen played one good game in 10.

If we really wanted him why are Southampton bidding more for him? I don't care what people say about them, we are as big a club as them, have more m oney and more of a chance of going up. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I find it absolutely baffling we spent £5m on Mills and bidded £7m on Long yet we won't bid serious money for Maynard. If we got him I'd say the squad was complete. As it is though we've got a big hole in it. Anichebe is not going to fill that. Keane may do, then again he might play **** like he has done for the last 2 seasons. We are frustratingly close to a great team yet will not give up £2m extra to complete it. a bid of £6m has apparently gone in from Southampton, if he goes to them I think we've made a big mistake.
I agree Vassell is a good squad player, however if he's in the starting 11 we are doing something wrong. Same with Howard and Oakley.

Oh, wasn't aware that Soton had actually put in a bid. In that case, I'd be sure once Sven heard about it he'd put in a bid as well. If Bristol are smart and want to sell, they'd come back to us and tell us he's available and try to start a bidding war. Once they've told Sven he is available, I'm sure we'll go back in. I doubt they'd just accept Soton's bid without trying to get more from us.

They're better than Championship teams and half the Prem teams, you only have to look at how they get on in Europe to see that. Celtic and Rangers both got to the final of the UEFA cup a few years back, a Championship team could never do that, let's see how far Birmingham get this season!! The rest of the league is crap admittedly.
I do also and had an argument with him about it (I won ofc) telling him his credibility has been damaged. It's not the first time he has been worng too, he was wrong when he said we went back in for the YAK!
Some silly money being talked about here, 6m + 80k a week! Our owners may be rich but even that might make their eyes water. I think Sven will wait a week or two to see who is not playing and then either get a loan in or buy someone as yet unidentified.
