Why would we want Keane when we have Cisse and......erm......ahh remind me, who else do we have at this time before the transfer window when we are bottom of the league unable to score goals?
We all know he's not as good as he was and if asked if he'd be a good long term signing nearly all here would say no. But he would only be a short term gap filler through the heavy December/January schedule. If Cisse gets injured next game what do we do? Is he BETTER than Cisse..in terms of holding the ball up, work-rate, shooting on target? He can only help us in my opinion in a time we really need help up front.
I think it's only the US close season that is in question, as he remains under contract to LA Galaxy, so very short term.
