Bruce talked about it at the time. Said it was a completely unrelated groin injury from a freak accident standing on a ball in training.
A groin hernia is a relatively simple op and there should no reoccurrence as a plastic/gauze tube is inserted to fit into the area that is ruptured, so it is stronger than the original human tube.
I don't know what went on with Brady, or what these issues in his head were or anything. All I know is that the lad is very talented, and when he's confident and taking players on, an absolute joy to watch. Here's hoping that whatever it was, it's gone, and he's back to his best for a full year. It's a powerful squad we're building, and Robbie is one of the most gifted within it.
Stewart was more effective at the time, but Brady always looked like he would be a far better player. His ball skills were always far superior he was just very indecisive where as Stewart had a bit better idea of what to do and when. Wouldn't call it a turnaround, but no one anticipated Stewart falling so far from grace. He should have improved at a similar rate as Brady.
