We didn't want to concede with 2 minutes left either.

Anyway, it really wasn't that dangerous. At the very worst he might have taken studs to the chest. Painful but hardly going to keep him out of action. Outfielders go into way more dangerous tackles than that several times a game.

As for the free kick. It's not unusual for keepers to stand so far over to one side, but I think the reason he didn't save it even though it wasn't in the corner is because it hit the bar and came down so was very difficult to deal with. If it was any lower he'd probably have got a hand on it.

I agree with that, don't think their goalkeeper was at fault. Happy Stockdale around for the next game and not Jakinabox or whatver his name is

I disagree with you about the goal, good free kick, but the keeper should have stopped it.

But agree with you about Stockdale he bottled it.

Glad you think so. Bradys goal was quality is what i refer. Stockdale did bottle it to a degree but why take an injury when the game is almost dead. I thought we got sloppy further up for there goal. It did not matter and Stockdale stays fit. Bruce was correct when he said that Deeney went in with his studs showing and that in the modern game is a free kick and booking/sending off by many refs.

Correct. Almunia thought the ball would go just inside the post and Brady deceived him for that. Hence why its a good goal and not a GK error.

Pretty sure Brady will have meant to put the ball in the corner of the goal and not the middle!
