Except for excellent saves by Heaton and some poor finishing by Souhampton this could have ended 7 or 8 to 1.
Southampton 34 attempts against Burnley today 14 on target.... and actually covered less ground than the Burnley team...
After feeling utterly moribund after Saturday's abject defeat, I am glad to end the weekend with at least a glimmer of hope to elevate the gloom. Sunderland, Middlesborough and Burnley are all at least as bad if not worse than us so we have every chance of finishing top of a mini-league of four terrible teams. God knows it's difficult to see us doing anything other than struggle against the other 16. Even sides like Watford and West Brom have at least a couple of players better than any in our squad. We have been hobbled by the Allams failure to sell the club before the season began. Still, hope springs eternal and all that.
Watched the Southampton v Burnley match and it has already been pointed out Burnley were being hammered, it seems as if Southampton didn't want to embarrass Burnely by missing as many of the clear cut chances as possible.
BBC Radio 5 live commentator Alan Green: "I actually haven't seen anyone worse than Middlesbrough this season." he clearly wasn't watching City yesterday then!
He's still a money grabbing ****er (In all seriousness N'Golo, you're welcome back at any time. Now would be good. Please... We're desperate)
Let's not forget that 2 of our main rivals play tonight. Bin Dippers v Manc ****ers. We could do with a draw.
These threads should always be Enemies playing today, as per Bob's wishes. Rivals is hardly true is it...
