As suspected Sam Vokes did pick up a serious injury against us and will miss the rest of the season and maybe even the year

Burnley striker Sam Vokes has been diagnosed with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Danny Ings is close to returning which is good news. I really want them to get 2nd and with a 9 point gap I cant see them missing out now

Never nice to hear of a player picking up a serious injury. Been very impressed that they've kept up their form, which no-one really expected & would be delighted if they get 2nd. Really hope they do.

Us, Burnley and Derby to go up would be the ideal scenario, in my eyes at least. 3 honest clubs with good support, though I think we'd all really struggle in the Premier League (Leicester probably have the best chance).

Wasyl staring at Vokes must have made his legs go funny.

I hope they get the auto spot too, well managed and well deserved.

Is this still doing it´s rounds. The original thread had Forest down as a rival :emoticon-0102-bigsm

To be honest I thought Q.P.R & Trees were going to be the 2 teams to catch. Some times it´s nice to be wrong...unless it involves the misses that is.

Is Andy changing it back! Should keep the Hull one seems to have brought us good luck!

Here's a new list of rivals for you:

Arsenal
Aston Villa
Burnley
Chelsea
Crystal Palace
Everton
Hull City
Liverpool
Man City
Man Utd
Newcastle
Southampton
Stoke
Swansea
Tottenham
West Brom
West Ham

Obviously not a finished list, but should do for now <cheers>

Good res for us today (Burnley that is). I´d like a win v Reading, but I´d be happy with a point tbh.

IF we win the Championship NP will go down in LC history as the only manager to have won div 1 & the championship :emoticon-0105-wink:

Nigel Pearson will make history being the only manager to manager the club in the Premier League, Championship and League 1

Lloyd Dyer and Andy King can also go down in history as only players to play in the top 3 divisions. Dyer would have to sign a new contract to do so

I don't think we necessarily need to win today, Burnley might be promoted after their next match, and lets hope they get promotion hangover as well!

So here I am, sat on the Leicester table, waiting for my dessert. I was promised a crumble, what feels like ages ago. But it still hasn't come! I'm getting bored now. Actually just considering leaving...

Oh well, it could be worse. I can see people over on the QPR table eating lemons!? What's up with that!?

Can't speak for QPR Swords as you know more but although Leicester spent a lot in the Sven days but since Pearson returned he has done nothing but prepare for FFP and has made cuts accordingly. If I'm right clubs were given time to make cuts and prepare so my view is the media tend to hype up how much we have spent and our position within the rules, the owners comments about spending money has probably encouraged it but basically, it seems unlikely we are still in a position to be heavily penalised by FFP. As I say, not sure about QPR as you have definitely spent more than us but the whole article seems ****

We spent 2 years trying to get our finances in order. While I don't think we will have cut our losses from £24M to the required £6M I don't think we will be a million miles off like QPR who continued to spend massive. FFP isn't about relegating teams or stopping them getting promoted so I wouldn't waste your time even talking about that. For you lot to think they can effectively relegate us 2 divisions is comical. FFP is about handing out fines and transfer embargos. But now we are in the Prem it complicates things as the Premier League will not support the football league in anyway with FFP meaning if anyone refuses the pay up it will end up in the hands of the courts to decide

The football league have no power over either club while we are in the Premier League. God help QPR if they spend loads and get relegated again. The football League will be over you like a rash
