So which of our rivals are impressing with thier signings?
I can see the league splitting into 3 groups, City,Utd,Chelsea,Arsenal,Spurs and Liverpool (Rogers is building a really sexy team) at the top. Hull,Palace and a suprise like Brom or Stoke in the bottom 3 by some margin. I believe we will be left scrapping it out with Everton (basically the same team as last year) Swansea who have bought well as have Norwich. Sunderland are basically buying a new team and will have to wait to see if it gels. Teams treading water include Fulham and West Ham who have blown most of thier cash on Carrol and missed out on long term target Bony.

Swansea, again, are the ones looking the most impressive in the transfer market.

Also, why am I up?

I know Norwich's dealings are getting a lot of love but I'm not really a fan, mainly because I think Van Wolfswinkel is overrated.

Why do you say Brom, as I think they were one of the most impressive teams we played against. Not many of the teams did a double against us and they deserved the double against us. They were impressive going forward and also very solid at the back. I know Lukaku has gone back to Chelsea but he wasnt the only one impressing.

I think WBA had a fluke of a season (with the help of Lukaku). I think they'll be under us for sure this season, finish mid-bottom. Just my thoughts

Whats that got to do with me being in France and being an hour ahead.

nothing. My asking where in France was a separate post. I love France and I am employed by the French division of a US company, so my office is there.... I was trying to make polite conversation as I assumed with your ID name, you were based in France

My original post about rival watch was aimed at the thread, not you.

Why is everybody up?

I don't confess to have the greatest knowledge of football overseas but Swansea look like they've had the best window so far and that includes the whole league.

Whilst one man does not make a team, there is no doubting Lukaku with his goals was worth a number of points for WBA. They won't struggle but they won't finish as high as last season unless they get him back or find another striker to replace Odemwingie too.

Who are our rivals? I doubt we'd all agree about that for starters, never mind who's done the best business. Personally I still think that right now we're still in the same fairly tight 8th to 18th group that we were in last year. I would hope we'll finish a bit higher than last season but injuries, suspensions, luck and even refereeing decisions will play a part in where exactly we finish. More signings could (and hopefully will) change that of course.
