our board is busier than normal..
we even have a new face and few old ones reapearing.
this site struggles.. as there is no clear moderation policy. you get slagged off on another board and called names.. then when you do it back the mods on the board say no getting personal...
Not that i am aiming that at you geraldjust an observation of a lot of other boards.

Well, it is because I'm the main one on the Liverpool board that doesn't tolerate personal insults. Its not that I can't take someone calling me or don't like to call others, nor is it that I want to protect our members since I tell both parties. I just think name calling makes a thread, topic or debate quickly deteriorate which pisses regulars off and isn't going to encourage new users to join in.
I do let the general name calling amongst regulars pass though and do occasionally do this myself too. Its hard to keep a balance at times

2 big games concerning our rivals then this sunday, if City were to lose and Suarez doesn't score I would consider it a good weekend for United and RVP for his golden boot, my prediction is that there will be a home win and an away win but don't know what will happen.

Gez i have made a few tongue in cheek comments on the Lfc board in the past and not used any swear/unprintable words. Yet i clearly remember when a number of the Lfc members came back at me with numerous personal insults you backed them and stated don`t worry i am watching him.
Are you saying offensive personal insults are only not tolerated when coming from another board member?

If my memory serves me right, that was quite some time ago before I started picking up on the name calling etc. It was pointed out to me some time ago that Liverpool posters were getting away with it whilst visitors where not so now I do try to reign our members in too if I see them being unpleasant in this way towards a visitor too. Of course, I can't see everything either.
You had also made more than your fair share of 'tongue in cheek' comments which had resulted in posters bringing to not just mine but other LFC mods attention. By saying I was watching you (which was true) it actually bought you some more time!
