Spurs have to be the unluckiest club in the world. 60 years of obscurity in the league and then the two best seasons they have to win the title, 2 mid table clubs beat them to it! <laugh>

And that is without even mentioning Lasgna-gate in 2006 or the Chelsky 2012 CL bus. :( :)

It depends on what you envisage happening to us after we win that title.

If Spurs was on the same trajectory as Leicester, of course, I'd want the title, because that is all we'll likely see over the next two or three decades.

If that is all you are offering, then - no - I wouldn't want the title, only thereafter to live a life of (at best) mid table obscurity or (at worst) a constant battle against relegation.
How much more than Leicester have Spurs won in the last two or three decades?

Given your often displayed scratch the surface knowledge of your own club, I'll help you out.

In the last 30 years Spurs have won an FA Cup and two League Cups.

Leicester have won a PL and two League Cups.

Go Spurs. Giants of English football.

I thought @FosseFilberto might like to see HIAG's latest **** up.

Yeah but you are missing out all those vital top four trophies Spurs have won.

Not to mention the 'finished above Arsenal' trophy they are currently polishing up ready to fill that 21 year old hole in the trophy cabinet.

Go on Leicester City, giants of English footy!

What the **** is your point, Afro Stan?

The past is the past. I can understand why you would want to glorify that, because that is all you have, at the moment. However, are you trying to assert that, notwithstanding Leicester having fluked their way to the title, their trajectory is going to surpass that of Spurs over the next decade or two?

We have never claimed a trophy for this.

The whole "St Arsehole's Day" thing is a piss-take on the Gooners' pathetic "St Totteringham's Day" tag, which they have celebrated with joyful glee since this board has been running! I suspect the reason for that is that they have had little else to celebrate under Wenger, in that time.

Oh, wait... !

I forgot, that they also used to celebrate the "We Finished 4th Again!" trophy. Wenger recently said that he should have been awarded a trophy for finishing in the top 4! I am not making that up!

Why don't you have a pop at Arsenal, Wenger and the Gooners? You can do that by playing along with our St Arsehole's Day celebrations.

All the money Arsenal/Wenger has had from 21 years of CL footy, and what the **** does he have to show for it? Nothing, because he spunked it all up the wall. Why don't you take the piss of that fact?

We've won more trophies in the last 12 months than Spurs have in the last 15 years. We know how to win at Wembley.

Enjoy your trajectory :emoticon-0148-yes:

Please stop quoting your past glories, Afro Stan!

You know full well I cannot wum you in the face of that.

Past as in this and last season when your trajectory has won you the square root of **** all <cheers>

Ah, that's a shame, Afro Stan. See, you're over-stepping the mark with your argument, now, and taking it to a point where I can, once again, engage you with a repost.

Our trajectory over the past 10 seasons has been spectacular. For example, I very much doubt that any United fan would want United to follow it in reverse!

Riposte.

Do you prattle on about trajectory when you're discussing football in the real world or are you afraid that you'll get the crap kicked out of you by genuine football fans?

Bless you.

No, I only bang on about it on this forum because I know it rattles you, mate.

Because we don't care mate.

The only reason we're replying to you is because it's you on here subjecting us to your celebrations of **** all.

That may well be the case, Chief; but whether you like it or whether you don't, I suspect that you are going to have more to worry about from Spurs than Arsenal, over the next few seasons.

Hell man, you've posted over 100 times on various boards since you last posted on the Spurs board on Sunday. Wouldn't it be more fruitful to stir things up on the Chavs board or the RS come to that - there is little, if any, interest in Spurs on this board apart from the comedy value in watching it all unravel next year.

Looks like Walker and a few other players want out already. Can't blame them really.

After Liverpool FC today decided to rename their Centenary stand to the Kenny Dalglish stand..Manchester United are set to follow suit and honour Ryan Giggs with the same tribute for his contributions to the club..
With his brothers blessing "the old South Stand" will now become 'The Ryan Giggs One Night Stand'.....
