It was on the highlights programme on ITV. Many years ago, there was a famous quote (one of the many) from Bill Shankly. He said if Everton were playing in his back garden, he'd draw the curtains. Keane said that if Liverpool were playing in his back garden, he wouldn't bother watching. If the dense **** can't come up with his own material, he can ****ing do one.

Not really worth an ald timer like you getting all worked up about though is it? Or have you been over doing those "V"s again. Ha ha. Roy Keane says a lot of things to wind up Utd fans so i wouldn`t worry too much.

Aye but Shankly wasn't averse to ripping others off either. His "life and death" quote was taken from some NFL coach IIRC.

The fact it's not original doesn't make it incorrect <ok>

I don't know why this RS gets worked up like this. He should be flattered that anyone would repeat a quote by this RS. The RS is treated like some massive hero while in fact he was just better than average.

<laugh> I'd say ask Matt Busby about that, but sadly, the ex-Liverpool captain is with Shanks in the heaven for gentleman football managers.

This is a club that has the third or fourth highest wage bill in the premiership. A club that prides itself as being part of the elite and yet they have been nowhere near challenging for the title in recent times. Their greatest achievement of recent years have been coming second and fourth and qualify for the Q rounds of the CL.

I cannot see that changing as once they get a decent player they lose him to a big club and they have to start from scratch again. <laugh>

Reactions: The Prime Minister
Far from me to delight in the RS misery but hey I'll make an exception this time...<whistle> <laugh>

Even for the RS, to convert a 3-0 winning score in the first half to a desperate clinging on draw of 3-3 is the stuff of fantasy. How could it happen? <laugh>

Kloppyflop is deemed the messiah by many deluded RS fans and yet his record is not as good as Fat Benitez or even Rodgers. His tendency to lose or draw matches from winning positions is becoming legendary. Bournemouth, West Ham, Sevilla (x2) and many others.

The funny thing looking at it from a distance is that the players get all the blame. Moreno this, Lovren that. The goalkeepers are supposed to be useless. The midfield of henderson and Wijnaldum were deemed invisible. Yet the manager escapes the criticism and the blame. What did he do to stem the attacks of Sevilla in the 2nd half?

They all believe that he'll bring them the title.

Is there a sane RS fan around who can see things as they are? Surely I cannot see benitez or anyother decent manager overseeing such collpases on a regular basis.

Is it correct that if they lose at home to Spartak and Sevilla win their last game they won't qualify?

Based on Spartak's better record head to head.

Now that would be funny.

I'm only surprised it took so long... <whistle>

Yup. Easiest group of any English side and they are the only one still with the realistic potential of dropping into the EL.

Given Klopp's record of bottling it in the cups I wouldn't bet against it...

I think City is running out of steam. I would love us to end their unbeaten run when we meet next month. If Jose is brave and with complete squad, we certainly have the players to do just that.

Jose will play for a draw <ok>
A draw is no good for us. We need to go in hard. We have players all over the pitch that can take on City man on man. The problem is City play very well as a unit. If we can disrupt that unit and their flow, it would give us the upper hand. I genuinely believe that we can get a result there.

I find the criticisms in the media of Lukaku interesting. Last season, when we were drawing all these home games, and we were relying almost exclusively on Zlatan to score, the criticism was that the goals were not shared enough. If Zlatan did not score we didn't win. This season, criticism is ...Lukaku not scoring even though he is loads of assists, United are winning and the goals are shared. I couldn't give a **** if United won all their games till the end of season but Lukaku didn't score another goal.
