As many people have discussed, Real are the closest thing to a one man team I have ever seen in my life.
If Ronaldo doesn't turn up, they are a quarter of the team.
The rest of their players are decent, but they are nowhere near Ronaldo's quality at all.
I would fancy City to score a few goals over two legs against Real, especially if Aguero is on form.

Agreed. Athletico and Bayern are more crafty and resilient opposition.

City have a great chance to go through but it all depends on whether Ronaldo turns up. Ronaldo is more dangerous than he has ever been and in the last few weeks has been far more effective than messi.

one players can't carry a team .. yes they make them sharper but football is a team work at the end ... if is about individuals Barca should had been is semi final in today draw and Leicester should be fighting against relegation ..

The Rat made the players around him play better. And the team as a whole improved. When he left, the players look their real selves I.e ordinary players. To compound this the huge amount of money received was spent on new mediocre players with the exception of one or two.

A manager of Dortmund getting his tactics wrong is not going to change these simple facts. <laugh>

Tbh it gives us a great opportunity for 4th.

Had City been drawn against Bayern they could have effectively been out by the end of the 1st leg and focused on the league. As it is, they will probably be distracted and tired in their matches against Newcastle, Stoke and Arsenal, so more likely to drop points.

Although as with the Spurs game, the opportunities they present will have to be taken, and that's probably where we will fall short again.

City have a better squad than our 2012 squad.
City face way inferior Real compared to 2012 Barca.
City might face Bayern, who are nothing compared to 2012 Bayern.

Atletico is the toughest of all the 3 opponents for city!

I fancy City vs Atletico final, tbh and Atletico to prevail.

If City actually go all the way, You have a remote chance to fluke your way to 4th.
I will be glad to take a loss tomorrow against City, if that helps to stop you from getting a very undeserved 4th.

Up the Mikel!!

I'll have to take your word for it.

I can still only understand every other word he says...

The guy is a moron, and I say those words to describe him rather than as a derogatory statement.

He has to be a complete fcking idiot if he can't see the irony in posting "I will be glad to take a loss tomorrow against City, if that helps to stop you from getting a very undeserved 4th." <doh>

Wanting your own team to lose on the slim chance it may help another team not finish in the top 4 is piss poor. Very poor support from a chavtastic plastic <rofl>

Regardless of what I want, we have a very slim chance of getting anything against City.
My only concern is if you can get 3 pts against City, we can do too - that is no good, when we have **** all to play for.
But u lucked against KDB less City. We are not that lucky, are we? I don't care anyway.

Jose doesn't deserve CL after he ditched us in the manner he did.

Us stopping u from getting 4th is same as, us stopping Spuds from winning the league.
Losing to Cities at Bridge is going to help stop Luckchester Utd & Spuds getting 4th & 1st respectively.

That is a touch decision, is it?.

Anyone remember Gerrard's gift to us in Anfield few years ago to win our title & stop Luckchester from 19th title?
Cockney for a day? <doh>

Knobhead. <ok>

Football gods? <laugh>

Have to agree with Swarbs here, I have seen Chelsea in some kick ass comebacks (97 FA Cup Fourth Round vs Liverpool springs to mind).

I was saying on the Liverpool board earlier, that Liverpudlians have a tendency to over romantacize everything, literally anything and everything.
Such a weird city.
Klopp is perfect fit for Liverpool. Overly emotional with everything! Same way he celebrated a penalty save when his team was actually 2 goals ahead few weeks ago. Only for them to still lose the game. I think I prefer a more functional and less dramatic manager.

Good for you. LVG is your perfect fit then.

Careful what you say about Klopp on here, especially after they've won, Donga's always lurking in the bushes with his insecurities, ready to pounce!

I miss having you around sometimes Trebs, when you often go missing for days or even weeks on unexplained absences. Do you use the same Barbados resort as Tobes? :emoticon-0100-smile

The question that comes to mind is (rivalries aside)..

Would you take Klopp as your manager if he was offered to you NOW??

BTW - question is open to all Mancs.
