Have always hated that way of thinking, "He should have been sent off" what you are basically saying by that is "We are not good enough to beat them 11 on 11, but if we have a one man advantage we might be able to" which is basically saying your team is **** and cannot beat anyone on an even keel <laugh>
No that is BS!!
Red card is to compensate for clear goal scoring or Aggravated fouls!!
That is to level set the playing field. Make sense??

No not really, Bod is spot on. You play the game for 90 mins. If your sole reason/gripe for losing is because the opposition didn't get a man sent off or because you didn't get a penalty or a foul that equates to a couple of minutes at most. The fact you still couldn't do enough to beat them in 88 minutes and you can only whine about those couple of minutes suggests you just don't have enough faith in your own side. Gooners and Spuds fans are exceptional at this mentality.

BTW it's the same for teams that don't score and get beat by a sucker punch. You hear fans saying how they were the better team but lost. But if you can't even score a goal you have absolutely no cause to think you deserved to win anything. And I include United in that. The 2005 FA Cup final being a prime example.

Exactly this.
I found Astro, Skylarker and PISKIE are the worst 3 for this.
They constantly moan about "he should have seen red" "that should have been a pen" etc etc
I never want to see a player sent off......EVER. Completely ruins the game.
Unless he assaults someone ala Suarez.

That's an incredible comeback to be honest. Fair play.

100% certain a van Gaal United side could never have pulled that off.

Absolutely.

It was almost on a par with us vs Juve in Turin in 99 - early sucker punch followed by a great comeback. Easier to pull off at home than away to the top ranked side in Europe of course, but still mighty impressive.

And at least a load of their fans didn't leave at half time this time around <ok>
