Now I'm thoroughly confused. My point was simply surprise at the fact that you drew a comparison in style between Okazaki, who is clearly at his best cutting inside from wide positions and running at opponents with his head up, to Lineker, who was clearly best as a 'fox in the box', not blessed with much pace or dribbling ability but Greavesesque in his finishing ability. I made it perfectly clear that I rate Okazaki as a good player. If I had continued by comparing Kane to Shearer and Alli to Roy Keane, you'd have a point. But I didn't, so you don't.

<laugh> He isn't.

This time last week we were 7 points clear.

Right now we're 8 points clear. All up to you tomorrow to see if you can close the gap.

Its all pretty irrelevant tbh...unless you are going to do a Barca combined with Newcastle 1996 with a touch of Man Utd 2013 thrown in ... the title will be sitting proudly in you trophy cabinet next season.

Villa fans must be pig sick! <laugh>

We look forward to you coming here at the same point next week and saying :

Yeah it really bothers me that our play style has only put us 5 points clear.

But what if we're still 8 points clear this time tomorrow night? Don't start counting points you don't have <ok>

I used to be best friends with a Villa fan at school.

I'd love to still be in contact with him now, he used to take the piss so much <ok>

You were at home today so the proper comparison was their home match with us...that was my point!
As for this ongoing argument. .. I made my point that Leicester are where they are on merit. ..and that as you don't kick lumps out of other teams I have no issue with you (other than you'll win the league instead of us) so there's no point having an snotty "nuff said" row with me mate!

You are 8 points clear and are going to win your first ever title...if the position was reversed I would be be having a drink, enjoying the warm glow of success and grinning from ear to ear rather than being on another teams board having a row that is pretty pointless...just saying like!
Fair enough, but not all ur fellow Spurs fans are as honest as you and like I said, if you do pip us to the post then it would be fully justified and earned and I wouldn't be blaming Lady Luck a referee's conspiracy theory etc etc Let's just enjoy the moment cos it may never happen again.... All the best no matter what the outcome !

A villa fan called something like holtelegend was always on the spurs board on the old 606 site...aman of a million stats all to prove villa were better than spurs ... don't know what happened to him after that site shut down but am guessing that villa being cack since 2012 may be a reason he aint been seen!

I have to confess, I've just watched a few highlight reels of him when he was at Mainz and he does have a style that has similarities to Lineker's, with the obvious difference being that he hasn't been anywhere near as prolific.

It's strange because most of his goals for you (with the exception of that overhead kick against I think it was Newcastle) have been exceptionally lucky finishes, either benefiting from a lucky bounce, deflection or rebound. Watching him playing for you, I assumed that finishing wasn't remotely his strongest point as there is so little evidence to say otherwise. But the goals he scored in Germany were often very, very nice finishes.

He was prolific for Mainz and his national team but he's not been played as the number 9, go-to striker as he's played as the link between midfield and Vardy. I don't think i've seen him go one-on-one or anything like that.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on if he's played further up front but I suspect Ulloa will come in as a direct swap to Vardy.

But a lot of Linekers finishes had an element of luck but again you won't appreciate my comparison until he assumes the main striker role and can also see ulloah starting in a 442 aka Lineker / Smith esque ?

I think Holte would be keen to point out that despite Spurs and Villa being separated by 18 places and 49 points, Villa are still ahead in the all time top flight league table and you've never won the cup with the big ears

I do kind of miss his posts...they were (unintentionally) very funny

Leicester and Tottenham, come on he says.Another Arsenal dreamer hits the deck!
I've always told Arsenal fans to send their players to Tottenham for the day.Even our useless teams in the past could teach you.

I've also mentioned that without choppers in their defence they ain't much good.Just like United!
Watch Mourinho bring in a couple of choppers while Wenker won't......
