You're literally improving your opinion about players for not playing games.I mean, you can think what you like, but how can you ignore those stats?
They clearly show that Coutinho has been amongst the goals more often than Eriksen ad Alli with regards to playing time and that Vardy has been far more clinical/creative than Kane and Sturridge.
You can say that stats are largely irrelevant. Which they are, on the most part. But when discussing the influence a player has on goals then this is the only definitive one you can look at.
Take Vardy and Kane's cup stats out of the equation and what do they say then?
That doesn't even take into account the increased fatigue from the extra games and traveling and I suspect that Kane comes out ahead.
My go to thing about stats has always been the Brunt > Xavi thing from a few years ago.
He scored more goals, got more assists and created more chances than the Barca man over the course of a season.
This was for the 2010/11 season, IIRC.
Xavi came third in the Ballon d'Or and won the World Cup, La Liga, the Champions League and endless other stuff.
Chris Brunt? Not so much.
