I was wondering......as the FA Cup is now the Emirates Cup,have they decided all arsenal Cup games will played at the Emirates with the Final also played there/
Arsenal seem to have had more home cup ties these last few seasons than anyone else......are those Arabian people up to mischief?

Good goal by Vardy, even with some suspect goalkeeping from Liverpool's suspect goalkeeper.
Very direct stuff, though.

Don't ever become a goalkeeping coach, your standards are too high! Not sure any keeper would get to that.

Leicester's bubble shows no sign of bursting

CIty's away form could cost them - a rare win tonight, but unconvincing

Arsenal have gone into second half of season form early

Well done Spurs - gave me 11 points in the Spurs prediction League - although it was only a par score

Did Stoke turn up? They must have been greeting their £18M signing

Don't fancy a trip to West Ham

Klopp could be another van Gaal. Great in another league, but he'll struggle to make to make Liverpool competitive even if he spends a fortune. No Suarez is the problem (not helped by no Sterling, Gerrard or a fit Sturridge)

Is the following unrealistic to hope for?

City beat Leicester
Arsenal draw to B'mouth
We beat Watford

Arsenal draw to Leicester
We beat City

PL table come Feb 14th:

1. Tottenham 51
2. Leicester 51
3. City 50
4. Arsenal 47

It is very do able. I'm still screwing over that Leicester blip. That was a 6 pointer, to coin a phrase. I know I'm banging on about this but for me if we believe in ourselves then we can win this league.

Because I don't see anyone better than us, based on a lot of factors and not some blind mouser proportion delusions.

Softly softly catchy monkey.

Watford v Chelsea's an interesting one tonight. Watford were flying and Chelsea struggling when Watford could only manage a draw at Stamford Bridge. We might find out tonight if Chelsea's recent form is just a blip.

The only time I want us to top the league is after the last final whistle has gone on the last day of the season. Let Leicester, Arsenal and Man City celebrate the 'Top-In-The-1st-Week-of-February Trophy and have all the media scrutiny. As D.G.C says, softly, softly and then swoop for the kill.

Or, well, just finish the season in a Spursy style and find new and interesting ways to **** it up!

It is so frustrating but the consolation is that basically no-one has cracked the Leicester connundrum this season. Even with Vardy out injured and then in a dry patch they clung on to the top spots with smash n grabs such as the one we were a victim of. They are precisely the type of team City don't like playing. Based on Sunderland's showing last night I'm saying for the first time that I think they'll stay up and Swansea will drop with Villa and Norwich. But with a bit more firepower they would've beaten City and I worry that Leicester may do just that.

In a way I prefer the fact that it's out of our hands as we've never coped very well under the spotlight. The next two games are possibly the most crucial of the season.
If we win both and Leicester don't pick up more than a point, we could be league leaders going in to the last third of the season.

"Is the following unrealistic to hope for?"

Nope.
There are rational grounds for saying that will happen, rather than merely
hoping it will be the case.

They are like a slow motion train crash.
You can see it is going to happen. You have time to divert/prevent it.
Yet still it happens. :( :)

NotSoMighty, I've noticed how Spurs have touched on a top 4 position, slipped down then touched it again and stayed there. From 5th to 4th then back to back to th then 4th which was consolidated. 3rd to 4th, then back to 3rd ,4th then back to 3rd. Might happen with 3rd to 2nd, back to 3rd then 2nd etc. Softly softly as you noticed.

As DGC said....slowly slowly catchy monkey.

I regard us to be in a perfect position with 14 games remaining. If you hit the summit early then there is only one way to go and that is down or maintain, which is very difficult to do. It would be more so for us because judging from fans and pundits alike, people do not like the idea of Spurs winning it. Like I said on another thread, I take that as a compliment. With Leicester it reminds me of when kids try to behave like adults and the stupid adults amongst us think its aww so cute. Spurs are big boys in a coma...people don't like the fact that we have moved on from twitching our finger to blinking our eyes. They are slightly afraid we might wake up.

I think what Leicester have achieved, and are in the process of doing, will be an inspiration to every team. Regardless of whether or not Leicester finish in the top 4, let alone win the league, what they have achieved, from virtually nothing, is nothing short of stunning.

We, most certainly, have to take inspiration from that.
