Shame Bayern weren't at full strength but how can you stop Messi doing that to you? I love how he has Boateng still turning to his right, whilst he's cut it back inside and is running past his left. Not much you can do but take a seat after he's done that to you. Almost as good as Keane putting Boulahrouz on his arse with a step over <whistle>

Seeing our last Europa opponents in the semis,makes me think of why we are not there instead.
They didn't do anything in the Italian League and played their first team in the Europa.
We,on the other hand,didn't do much in the PL and played our reserves in the Europa.

The resemblances I do see with Jimmy are, the quick feet, the close control, the balance, the coolness, etc. No doubt Messi is in a league of his own, but yes there are definite similarities in their style.
 
What was amazing this season was the way everyone except Chelsea's defence,collapsed against each other to make Arsenal look good.Wanger must have thought he was struck by the good fairy......
