Nice to see the Villa players wearing black armbands. I assume it's for Bill Foulkes, Munich survivor and European Cup winner at 36, 14 years after he won his only cap for England. Learned today that the only injury he suffered in the air crash was from a bottle of gin, which had been in his overhead rack, hitting him to the back of the head!

I thought they said it was for an ex Baggies player, a Welshman, Stuart Williams.

Lambert fixes his curious starting XI and Villa get 2 back to level it. They could nick this.
Clarke didn't react to the triple substitution and West Brom are paying the price.

"If Tim Sherwood had his way, forums like this would be shut down."

I'm glad you (ahem "he" ) don't (have his way) . ;)

I think you got away with that. I suggested OS might be Ian Walker the other week and he wasn't pleased, you could be on ignore.

With his GK background, you might have chosen the wrong ex Spurs GK. :)
I know Spurcat doesn't like Sherwood (though not the specific reasons) .

With Baldini as DoF, and Ramsey in charge of the U21s, I do struggle to understand
what Sherwoods' specific purpose is supposed to be nowadays.

I was taking golf lessons about 6 or 7 years ago and my coach was best mates with Tim Sherwood. He didn't know I was a Spurs fan until one day I turned up for my lesson wearing a Spurs top. My coach then told me he was best mates with TS and said " even though he played for Spurs, he hates the club".

I never forgot that and then a few years later, he got a pundits job with Setanta TV and was always critical of the club. Since then, it has always been rumoured around the club that he has an Arsenal tattoo, although I don't know if this is true.

Yet another reason to purge the club of midfielders that George Graham signed, then...

Mind you, the head groundsman at WHL is allegedly a Gooner.
But he is obviously professional enough to keep the pitch in good trim and not eff it up.

I just don't see what Sherwoods' day job is nowadays (anyone ?? ) .
Perhaps once Baldini has had a full season at Spurs then Timmy will be ousted.

Salah seems like a very dangerous winger. Doubt he'll be at Basel for the start of next season.
We were linked with him, but he may have some slightly antisemitic views, unfortunately.

Where did you hear that?

Anyway you're allowed to be anti-semitic so long as you blame Spurs fans for using the word Yid.

Basel are a good passing team, they made us look ordinary last year (which isn't that difficult) in terms of pass and move but in all honesty we would wreck this guys career if we signed him under the current management.

Where did you hear that?

He made some anti-Zionist comments when Basel drew an Israeli team in the CL qualifier.
There were questions about him playing the away game and then he sneaked out of the pre-match handshakes.
It's a political thing, according to him.
