Part of fergie's plan to prize Bale away from us?

"Come on Gareth, spurs haven't even got CL football..."

There might not be much that we agree on, but I'm sure you join me in agreeing that Fergie saying he would put out a full strength side today has been proven to be utter bollocks <grr>

When they won the title, Fergie said they weren't going to rest on their laurels and were going to go all out for the points record.

So in effect - it's Arsenal's fault for drawing last weekend...

Fergie is a multi-dimensional hyper-WUM.
Before a ball is kicked he has us and the Goons rabid.
And if Man Utd win, he is effectively saying Chelsky are so ****e he can beat
them with a 'weak' team.

I have told their lot that Levy has upped the starting price for Bale to 100m this
summer for that insulting starting XI.

Why would they be hungry and highly motivated when their season's already over?

Face it - Man Utd are doing all they can to help you out and screw Tottenham over in the process.

Because they never get to play. If you play players that feel they should be in the side and haven't had the opportunity chances are they'll work harder.

I tried to tell you (not you personally) earlier that Man U don't give two hoots who gets top 4. Man U don't owe Spurs anything, they've already given you 4 points and taken 4 off Arsenal and at least 3 off Chelsea so I'd suggest your judgement is wrong on this occasion.

Well if they lose today and you finish outside of the top 4 then I suppose it might be worth it <whistle>

Is Fergie having a laugh? He let the players go on the piss all week before they played Arsenal and now this, I'm sure he loves making himself feel like King Maker in the Premier League and I think he's more worried about us getting a CL spot than the other 2. I'll take it as a compliment :D

He wants Bale. Maybe he thinks that by helping keep us out of the CL he's got more chance of getting him - just a thought.

Pretty much.

Because they never get to play. If you play players that feel they should be in the side and haven't had the opportunity chances are they'll work harder.

Who said they owed us anything? I'd expect them to play a stronger team though, they owe their fans that much and they certainly don't owe Chelsea anything. We took 4 points off them fielding their strongest side available it's as wrong to suggest they have those points to us as it is to suggest they owe us anything.

You can guarantee Fergie's going to be after Bale this summer, he's already started the hints to try and prick Bale's ear, so I'm sure he'll have an interest in us missing out on the top 4.

This is Chelsea's game for the taking.

Is anyone else getting random numbers come up in the bottom left corner of their screen?!

Haha I didn't realise Webb was in charge!! That's made me feel a lot better.

The selection was to give Utd more runners in midfield where Chelsea are strong. It's not been a classic so far, but Utd have had chances and there is no question the players are trying to win.

Your conspiracy theories overlook the fact the SAF and the players will not have given Spurs a second thought when considering their approach to a game v Chelsea. Why on earth would they?

We told you why :p

I think you're taking the posts a bit more seriously than they're intended to. It was akin to pub talk, frustration at Fergie's selection and you can talk about tactics all you want but even if you do believe that it still makes no sense to put an old man on the left wing and an out of form winger on the right when you've got Rooney on the bench, or to rest your 'keeper, bring Vidic from injury, rest Kagawa who's been one of your best players and Carrick(injured?). In effect this was the last game of any importance for United this season and Fergie's decided to change the whole team around.

Tis easy to summarise today, Lukey.
If a win was required in order for Man Utd to still be in contention for the PL title, would you be
happy with this team sheet and starting XI ??

Everton drew.
Barring a collapse they are guaranteed an EL slot

I think only a collapse from us would give them one now, actually. 1-4 is CL, 5th is CL, Swansea take one place for the Carling Cup and Wigan take the other for reaching the FA Cup final.

United are piss poor today. No coordination or enthusiasm. A real wind-down performance. Chelsea should be taking advantage of this!!

Edit: and Evra seems intent on giving them every chance to score from a free kick around the box!!! <grr>
