Looks a good draw in the quarters of the CL:

Malaga v Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid v Galatasaray

Paris Saint Germain v Barcelona

Bayern Munich v Juventus

Bayern-Juve could be a real classic in my opinion.

The irony is that, even if Malaga win the thing, they're banned from all European competition next season.

Barca/PSG could be a good match as well - as long as Barca don't wait until the second leg before they turn up.

why does "Torres left out of Spain squad" require a whole article on the bbc? Surely thats a given? He's cack

Draw permitting no they aren't. If they got a favourable draw they'd get to the semi at best but sooner or later you have to play the better teams. There will be nowhere for Malaga and Galatasaray to hide in the QF and I duly expect them to get found out at this level, like Man U and Arsenal would have

Uncalled for.

But true,just the fact's

The BBC have always thought football begins and ends with the Premier League - even though more people than ever before are aware of La Liga, the Bundesliga, not to mention Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Eredivisie.

BBC Scotland don't think football begins and ends with the SPL, S4C don't think football begins with the Principality Premier League, so how comes their English counterpart can't be so forward-thinking?

I remember seeing a "Budapest Spurs" flag during the match.Do we have a "little Tottenham" in Hungary?

Normally relayer I'm cautious but I feel confident this time so I've stuck my neck out. A win against Fulham should see us going again and with top players back well I see us winning. I miss the wums and the trolls a bit, they're a good outlet for letting off steam.

Sorry to bump my own comment, but to repeat, does anyone know if the winners of the EL are automatically guaranteed a place in next year's competition (like the CL winners)? I say this because the 5th PL place gets EL as it stands, and if say Newcastle win the competition then do they get the place that would otherwise go to the 5th placed PL team? Oh the irony if that was Chelski!

Pretty sure the answer is no.

I have heard that the EL winner gets a place in next years competition but if they don't qualify through league or cup they get an extra place.

Jesus, that 'assult' by Barry on Distin would have been a straight red in a game of rugby, nothing, not even a yellow from Lee Probert.

Lovely strike from Osman:
