They did seem to approach it in 'game already won mode', just doing enough to go through, on the other hand why waste the energy on the Goons!

Bayern are incredibly 20 points clear in their league, next nearest is Dortmund...who dumped our current (not for much longer!) champions out of the group.

They've got Bayer Leverkusen this weekend too, they're the only German side they've lost to so I'm sure they don't want them to do the double over them.
 
I still expect Chelsea to progress. Mata will drag their sorry arses through.
As much as we're accused of being a one man team, and we've done ourselves no favours with that tonight, the Spaniard's as important to them, if not more so.

And yes you are right, Mata is as important to us as Bale is to you.

If Mata played for United, he'd easily win POTY, you could say the same for Bale though as well.

Feeding RvP, Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez every week, rather than the less than deadly duos at Chelsea and Spurs, would give them around 964 assists, that's why. That would be the difference.
 
Crappy old Torres puts Chelsea into the next round (probably).
