Yes IF they lose at WHL and that's a big if. It'll be just our luck if they return to best form against us after all they beat us well earlier.

It's all relative cini. For a team who won a lot and were regulars in the top 3 or 4 where you are now is a big comedown,a mighty fall from where you were. You know the bigger they come the harder they fall etc etc blah blah blah. Whereas us,well we are climbing up aren't we? Things are getting better so our morale is better than yours. You're calling for your manager's head whereas we are not. We've just beaten one of the best sides in France,what will you do against Bayern after losing to mighty Blackburn and at home too? You can smile but our smiles are broader than yours.

You need to get out of this mentality of trying to use Spurs to soften the blow of your decline. It's likely Spurs could finish 3rd this season. Either way what's near certain is that Chelsea and Arsenal have declined whilst Spurs have improved. 10 years ago or even 5, Spurs would have been nowhere near either club in the table.
It's time to accept the situation for what it is. Arsenal may well get 4th at the expense of Chelsea/Spurs but you are running out of time to get your act together, Chelsea are wobbling but you've failed to capitalise, Spurs will wobble soon so you need to pounce. There is no chance of you beating Bayern over 2 legs IMO.
District,next month AVB will be in uncharted territory in the PL because Chelsea sacked him in the Feb of last season therefore he's an unknown quantity thereafter. You don't know yet whether his teams get weaker or stronger towards season's end so your statement is very bold isn't it?

I guess it is fair to assume that we are due a (relative) bad patch - we have been on an unbeaten run since Everton and for a while before that. We may just be that much stronger, but I can understand DL's expectations.....
Could be that the three draws on the trot was our bad patch. Will our strikers stay crap though? If not, then District,you are wrong madam.
Law of averages.
Spurs are on something like a 10 game unbeaten streak. Your next 3 games are against West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool. In April you also face Everton, Chelsea and City. Points will be dropped with a run in like that, especially having to juggle Europa League football.
I'm not saying you will collapse but given the backlog of very difficult fixtures you face, I'd say its highly unlikely you'll take maximum points. If you do, you really ought to be winning the title never mind coming top 4. Liverpool away, Chelsea away and to a lesser extent Swansea/West Ham away are not fixtures too many teams have left with maximum points and City/Arsenal at home are never easy with the counter attacking weapons they have at their disposal.
Everybody will drop points District. We almost beat Everton so should beat them at home and West Ham and Pool are six gettable points. City are wobbling mightily,ask Saints. Which leaves the two derbies. Both are unpredictable but winnable by Spurs. It does concern me that we were well beaten by both teams earlier but it's all up in the air District.

We haven't had a bad spell of results this season. Yes, we've had a few bad individual results at different times, but nothing that's lasted for a few weeks in a row. Ill be very surprised if we don't have a period like this, as its very common for every club to experience that at some point in the season; some clubs' having a worse time than others.
We've been pulling results out of the bag even when not playing that well, and bale has saved our arse recently. I can't see that lasting for the rest of the season, althought I sincerely hope it does! Being realistic, it's unlikely.

They have to play Bayern Munich twice, who are on ridiculously good form, travel to WHL, the Liberty, The Hawthorns and St James'.

I would argue that we are already going through a dip. Defoe went off the boil and is now injured, Adebayor has failed to make an impact. Dembele is off form, Walker has been off form, Dempsey has struggled, Sigurdsen has struggled. Parker has only just come back and has not found the form of last season and we have lost Sandro to injury. The difference is that we have not lost during this period because we have a better organised defence a better Goalkeeper, Bale is in the form of his life and Lennon has been consistently good.
How long will this dip last? What will happen when we do find our best form?
I'm not bothered as long as we get top 4 and keep our unbeaten home record against you. It's not wishful thinking. Chelsea are going to drop points, Spurs are going to drop points, Arsenal are going to drop points, heck even City are going to drop points. They key thing is how many, when and to who. That will dictate who finishes where.
I'm not sitting here saying Spurs are going to lose all 12 remaining games and Chelsea will win all 12 etc. Just stating the reality, something that happens year on year in the league.
I agree with most on here. I do think Spurs form has dipped, but in that time Bale, Lennon, Lloris and Vertonghen in particular have all gone up another gear and Walker has improved defensively.
Key thing has been winning when not playing well like Spurs did v Newcastle and Chelsea did from August-October. Arsenal haven't done that yet and it's why they are slightly behind. Everything rests on March and April fixtures, by May it shouldn't matter, I expect the top 4 positions to be sewn up by then.
