Red card?

I think so. Any worse than van Persie against Swansea? Nope.
Not sure what the little twat was thinking, though. Bassong would eat him and spit out his bones.

I think it's stupid. Fellaini gets a 3 game ban for elbowing, Balotelli gets essentially 3 games for stamping on Parker's head(the 4th was added because it was his second ban of the season) and now Nasri gets 3 for having a face off with a player and leaning his head in a bit? I don't see how you can justify it as violent conduct but the FA seems to think it is so the decision is right. It's all a bit pathetic though.

I agree to some extent, YV. I'd say that it's a red because of what it could provoke, but a 3 game ban seems harsh when you compare it to other offences that receive the same punishment.
Red and 1 game, maybe?

Just book the guy. You could just as easily provoke someone on the pitch by swearing at them and get no punishment. Funnily enough I was probably more accepting of the red card and ban when it happened to Kaboul. Don't get me wrong, it's the right decision for the ref to make, I just don't think it should count as a straight red and the punishment does look ridiculous next to dangerous challenges, and out and out violence which carry the same punishment.

Sounds like the referees are trying to be centre of attention again today. After Pratkinsons consistently inconsistent display earlier today it sounds like it sounds like Clattenberg is trying to make it all about himself at Stoke (though opinion seems to be split about the N'Zonzi sending off). What the hell has happened to the quality of refereeing in the Premiership over the last 3 seasons. It just seems pot luck on decisions and games are decided by what kind of day the referee is having. The only team who seem immune to it is Man Utd who have always had the refs in their pockets anyway.

The media always pursue my startling insight, Boss. Never pay me, mind. <grr>
At least the BBC actually bothered to credit me, though. Your license fee pays for people to highlight my comments.

I wish Holte Legends was on here. Villa are seriously in danger of going down. To have lost 3 in a row and scored 0 and let in 15 is shocking.

That guy was a legend.

My dream of seeing us relegate Villa (when the fixtures came out) looks as though it could come to fruition. We are their last home game and penultimate game of the season.
