how did he get on?

he got 15 minutes when they were winning 2-1...looked comfortable..no way out of place like Song is at Barca.

a few neat pass exchanges and received one pass from the right wing as he ran towards the 'D' and failed to kill the ball and lost it...just nerves nothing more.

He looked in awe around him you could sense his excitement...and how can one blame him...part of one of the best football squads in the world... wish little Luka the very best and will be following his progress.

City just went in Real Madrid's group. It's all gone well for the other English teams so far but pot 2 only really had Valencia in it. Pot 3 is probably stronger.

What's funny? Trips to Amsterdam, Dortmund and Madrid in a group they'll get out of. I'd kill to have their group.

is this an attempt to try to convince us how hard your group is?

sorry DL, City's group is killer. regardless ofthe shortish distances they have to travel.

DL trying to be a smug shait again...and arrogant as ever....

your right though with the kind of luck your team gets....you would give any decent team a run for their money

<doh>

they won't be so lucky this year,Drogba is'nt there,out at Q/f.

we need all english clubs to stay in as long as possible. the longer their in, the more games. it all takes its toll over the course of the season ;)

Definitely? I wouldn't say that, none of those teams are mugs.

For as long as I can remember people have always predicted teams to falter on the biggest stages. City's league form is the worry but they'll be well prepped for this. The shocks and surprises start to happen when you underestimate teams ala United last year and almost Chelsea. everybody predicted Arsenal to struggle in their group but they got out easily.

Players don't look at it like that. City will relish it. People are in this competition to test themselves against the best not play plumbers and builders from Norway or Cyprus

Let's be honest Dona, anything I say offends you <laugh>

Lost Drogba, but we've recruited Hazard and have a generally much more potent midfield.

Luck cannot happen 13 times
