Think it was Eddie Izzard who said that 'ich bin einer Berliner' actually means 'I am a (Berliner) sausage' as in Frankfurter!!
Priceless entertainment. Seems so unfair anyone ever believed Downing could hit a target. Why do I find Terry falling on his Arsenal so enjoyable? But I really have to give him credit. He's got all his teammates now thanking God he can't play in the final.
"Ich bin Bayer" is right. "Ich bin Muenchner" I think is right. (What Kennedy actually said, "Ich bin ein Berliner" means "I am a jelly donut." What he meant to say was "Ich bin Berliner.") I lived a year and month in Munich 25 years apart. But I'll wait to reclaim my Bavarian-ness till after Sunday. I might be rooting for them or against them.
Also, I think it's a triple win, because we want Everton to be motivated to stay ahead of Liverpool, which they will be if Liverpool win.
