and his negative tactics, not to mention having the richest owner in the world yet they have Lescott, Milner and Barry in their first team, i mean that would have been tragic seeing them three play for the champions!

Lescott's having a great season.

i dont like people who own clubs but have no passion and just sit there like they are trying to figure out which is their team!!!

no passion from top to bottom...8 points behind...<laugh>

like HIAG said earlier..a victory for football!

Mancini was talking complete bollox about the performance but then appears to have admitted that Balotelli needs to be dealt with for the original foul.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini: "[Is it over?] No. In football, it is never finished until it is over. For this reason I always believe that we can do it. We have had a fantastic season and we need to finish well.

"From the bench I didn't see the first tackle but now I have seen it and Mario deserved a red card after 10 minutes. But it took until the last few minutes for him to get sent off. I am very sorry for him. I don't have any words for his behaviour. I love him, he is a fantastic player, I love him as a guy but he needs to change or he can lose everything. I am disappointed in him. He is young and he continues to make mistakes.

"Today we have 15 points more than last year, clearly it is diffiuclt to win the title but we can hope that they lose some points before the derby. After that we will see. In the last month we have had problems with injuries but we need to improve more. For 28 or 29 games we did well but there are 18 points to play for. Never say never."

thats right..carry on spoon feeding your son<ok>

idiot!

How's he going to change and learn from his mistakes if Mancini never pulls him up on them?
He should've taken him off far, far earlier in the game, regardless of his disciplinary tightrope, as he was playing crap.

I don't think it's possible to knock any sense into him. He's too thick, and too far up his own arse for that. Apart from anything else, his selfish "it's all about me" attitude would be enough to make any sensible manager dump him.

i think hes got first dibs on his girlfriend...cant think of any other reason...quite sad actually.

p.s the owners didnt look too happy lol

Balotelli will be another "could have been" foreign footballer, in a couple of seasons' time.

If Harry had been in charge of £ity, no way would he be playing Balotelli, not with his attitude and sheer stupidity.

You're right, he'd have sold him in January, bought Crouch and kept the excess money as a "bonus" :p

i dont think he would have touched him with a bargepole in the first place

Redknapp would never consider picking a temperamental Italian striker with obvious talent, but a horrible attitude.

I'm delighted with the win - we were better than them in every part of the pitch and we missed some absolute sitters, scoreline wasn't emphatic enough for my liking.

But knowing us, we will probably lose to Wolves on Wednesday...

Congrats - you played well and deserved the win - having said that, Citeh were pretty awful and tactically helped you out no end!!

He's definitely better than average, he's been the best English centre back this season if that's any kind of compliment.

Well, to be fair I don't rate the guy at all so I could be a tad harsh, but from what i've seen in his career, he is fairly average in terms of ability but can put in some good performances and this season alot of city players have been "carried" and individually aren't as good as their overall team performance suggests.

As you can tell I don't have much time for city!

Very true. Aguero looked particularly pissed off with the number of runs he was making only to be let down by a completely useless pass. No doubt the Goons deserved to win, but City were truly ****ing awful.

There were a few Citeh players out there who were clearly not singing from the same hymn sheet - and that is why I (admittedly tongue in cheek) commented on their possible 'disintegration' in the run-in.
Aguero is a decent player and was trying his best, Kompany - and Lescott - did their level best and Hart cannot be faulted. (and he was clearly not happy with Balotelli and the management for keeping him on....).
The rest were simply poor: either overrated and overpaid or just not performing.
Either way, I don't care how much money you have got or have invested, you won't get too many points in the PL with only 5 functioning players!!
