One ‘perk’ of Spurs battling relegation is that I genuinely couldn’t give a **** about what Arsenal do.

If anything, them doing the double will pour scorn over the way we've been mismanaged for years now.
Let's not forget, Arteta took over at Arsenal just weeks after we sacked Poch. At the time, Arsenal were in disarray after years of in-fighting. We had a settled squad who had just reached the CL final.
Fast forward six years, and what an embarrassing contrast in the trajectories of the two teams.
If watching that lot win the double can't galvanise serious change, we are beyond hope.
They have spent several hundred million more than us though because they don't have the same constraints.

I suppose it’s because Arsenal are the nearest challengers to the North West’s domination of English football. It would be unbearable to endure the London-centric media ramming the success of the pre-eminent London team down our throats.
Apart from Chelsea’s bought success, London clubs have done little in the CL.
Even Liverpool or City winning it would be preferable to Arsenal.
I think everybody hates Arsenal.
Maybe it’s just a North/South divide thing.
Although the Midlands has more European Cups/CL than London too.
Well we’ve heard about multiple deals being done if Spurs survive so I expect those to be done before the World Cup.
Do you not realise how pathetic it is that you would prefer your two most bitter and fiercest rivals to win the Champions League over a team that hasn't really been a rival to you for about 15-20 years?
I'll never understand how there are Man Utd fans out there who hate Arsenal more than Liverpool or City. It's just mind-numbingly stupid, in my opinion.

I am a United supporter and have to say i really like Arsenal as a team and a club. You always play atractive football and if you win something i usually accept you deserved it.

Their play is not always attractive. They were during the Henry/Berkamp days, but otherwise, at best have been a functional, efficient team. Good at winning trophies, but not attractive. Under wenger they played good football, if anything they overplayed.
Arteta is very much a results first manager though, if they win the league and champions league it will be a massive achievement but their style of football won’t be remembered as it’s not great
And no one associated with the club - owners, board, manager, players and fans will care a jot, they will be winners and that is what sport remembers. Other fans may mock but you won't here anyone within the sport (a few biased pundits apart) having anything but praise when Arteta delivers the league, if he backs it up with the champions league too, much I don't want to admit it he will deserve all the credit for what he has done.
Fans demand success no matter who you support and in all honesty a winning team ticks more boxes than an entertaining one. I was saw the original incarnation of Tony Pulis at Gillingham, who he got promoted from league 2 at the first attempt (after 4 years in the bottom 4) and the Gills played some of the most diabolical football I have ever watched did the fans care, they came away from the stadium having seen their team win more often than they had for years.
Winning with style is fantastic, but its the winning bit thats most important...
