Between you lot and West Ham to go down now IMO - which is still insane when I think about it.

Looking at the remaining fixtures, it's extremely tough to call. I think they're both of similar difficulty. Obviously, you guys have the better quality, but in terms of grit, doggedness and refusing to lie down, I'd give that to West Ham as they have the experience of what it takes to fight relegation.

It's still hard for me to conceptualise a stadium as beautiful as yours in the Championship, to be honest <laugh>.

Really is actually starting to hit home now, I mean I’ve been resigned to it for some weeks but in 5 games time (if that) we’re almost certainly going to be calling ourselves a Championship side.

Wild.
Almost certainly?
It’s 50/50 with West Ham.
By 5pm tomorrow I expect you to be level on points.
If they win and you lose, then it looks grim - 25/75 perhaps - but it’s all up for grabs at present.

It’s always unthinkable until it happens. It does not seem that way now but Leeds going down 20 years ago was equally unbelievable.

I think it’s Spurs unless they can get it together quickly. At least W Ham have been picking up points recently, Spurs have not.

Interesting to watch if you don’t really care either way.

It’s not 50/50 because they have a 2 point advantage at present.

Factor in form too and it certainly favours West Ham.

We have two of the worst strikers in the league and a defence that for some reason, consists of good players but have been making so many mistakes this season between them all.

West Ham are also experienced in these situations, they’ve likely got a lot more dog in them than we have, our players are looking shellshocked most weeks, it’s a culture shock to them all and they’re not dealing with it at all. At a time where we’ve failed to win a league game in 2026, I struggle to see how we’re going to miraculously pick up what is likely needing to be 3 wins and a draw to ensure safety in these final 5 games.

Last night was the 1st of many let's get Tottenham relegated performances from sides you're hoping for a favour from.

You're saying Sunderland purposely got battered at home to harm themselves a chance of Europe just so Spurs might get relegated.

Luke is simply stating the facts, he doesn't have try to cover a disappointment by insisting on the worse case scenario as many Spurs have done for weeks now.

He said he expects Spurs to be out the drop zone by 5pm tonight.

Subtle wummery like he used to.

It was the use of the word “certainly” I picked up on.
We’ll all know how it ends soon enough, but the outcome is far from certain. And to illustrate that point, I’ll make reference to the games this afternoon, which could realistically see Spurs out of the bottom three by 5pm.
That’s a realistic assessment, not a miracle scenario or subtle wummery. .

You said you expect Spurs to be out the bottom three by 5pm?

What are you basing that on?

West Ham at home, Spurs are away.

West Ham in much better form than Spurs.

What’s more likely is they win and Spurs lose.
