In separate Arsenal news, Takehiro Tomiyasu is leaving the club by mutual agreement due to never-ending injury problems. He played just 6 minutes of football last season and faces another half a year on the sidelines.

Looks like we dodged a bullet there.

BBC describes him as former Arsenal player. Was his contract finished?

HandOfArsenal (a reliable Arsenal ITK on 'X'/Twitter) said that we'd verbally agreed a contract with Partey and all of a sudden, there was silence/no movement on an actual contract being given to him. At the time, he couldn't understand why. But he said now it makes sense - so that says to me that Arsenal have known this was coming for at least a week or two.

In any case, the fact we'd even considered giving him a new deal, when the senior leadership team were clearly aware of what was going on and the nature of the allegations, is pretty despicable (to put it lightly). Even if they didn't sack him (and some people said they couldn't do anything unless he was charged otherwise they they'd get embroiled in a legal battle), they still could have approached this very differently. But they prioritised an asset/money over doing the right thing. And that's something I won't forget. It's a huge, huge stain on the club.

In other news, sports agent Jonathan Barnett has been accused of rape, torture and trafficking:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce3ny45ep4jo

His most infamous move was arranging Cashley Cole's meeting with Chelsea.
Barnett is an Arsenal fan.
Also the guy who convinced Gareth Bale to join Los Ladrones for a world record fee, by complete coincidence just as Bale's contract with Barnett was running down

I wonder if the Bottlers will dare to post a tweet for the next International Women's Day

Because it was especially noticeable a couple of years ago when they were the only PL club that didn't

When the social media team knew, Arteta cannot claim he didn't. He just didn't care

Noni Madueke closing in on a move to Arsenal.

Bizarre how Chelsea have become a feeder club for them in recent years.

Squad too large to register? No probs, give Captain Scarlet a call.

Is it not that Arsenal just buy Chelsea rejects to help fund Chelsea’s future transfers?

They’ve got Gittens and Estevao now so Madueke is surplus to requirements.

There's a worry that the Bottlers are knowingly funding the Chavs buying Kudus

Thing is, you wouldn't put that past them, what with the small club mentality they habitually demonstrate...
