Played for Monchengladbach for donkey's years then signed by Bayern to fill in for Neuer while the latter was injured for a year. Then sold to Inter for pittance.

36 years old so hasn't got years left but an absolute bargain for what they spent.

They've done some shrewd business in recent years. Çalhanoğlu, Zielinski and Thuram on free transfers. Dumfries for £12m. Pavard for £27m.

The ref for yesterday's game was Szymon Marciniak and he's got a ton of stick.
He was also the ref for our first game against Frankfurt, where he was similarly pilloried.
Barca have done a decent impression of Real, which is rather ironic given their response to them.

Dickhead! Pretty clear pen I thought though, especially in Europe. Smacks him bang in the hand with his arm out from his body.

That going in would have made having to listen to keown a lot more pleasant.
 
Lewis-Skelly’s had an absolute mare this game. I don’t actually think that was a pen to be fair but he’s lost possession twice near his box and also picked up a yellow.

Thankfully he’s a **** so I’m glad it was a penalty.

Gash penalty from Vitinha though. Can’t do those ***** walk ups and not score.
 
People have stopped taking penalties properly!

Keepers getting wise to them and getting better at holding their nerve.
