Apparently West Ham have bid £57 million for villa’s Jhon Duran!
Surely they won’t sell, and surely he wouldn’t leave villa to go there?!

They tried for him in the summer too and I think Duran even done a hammers salute or something on social media but then ended up staying at Villa.

Saw our former player Foyth playing for Villareal today.Apparently he's doing so well Barcelona are looking at him.

I briefly recall such a season when we had to get Klinsmann to save us

see?

memorable due to a relegation scrap

this season can also be memorable

That requires us to sign a Klinsmann calibre player, we’re more likely to bag another Werner, bro, who’ll actually get us relegated <laugh>

I remember that season, that was the only time I genuinely felt Spurs could get relegated in my whole life.

Lose the next league game against Lesta and this season might be the second time.

Klinsmann wasn't great in that second period for us, barring the Wimbledon game.
Massive improvement on Neale Fenn and Rory Allen, though.

Naturally we went on to sign the opposition goalkeeper, left-back and centre-half.

Probably saved us a few injuries keeping Ben Thatcher away from us in matches...

He saved us with a 6-2 win v Wimbledon away ... think he scored 4 that day.
Closest we've been to relegation since 1977.
Think it 3 games before the end of the season

It was the penultimate game of the season. That was truly squeaky bum time.

We finished the season with 44 points. Lost 16.

I'm looking at our remaining fixtures this season and genuinely struggling to see how we can match that total, let alone beat it.

My most optimistic forecast is that we get another 21 points to finish with 45 total.

And that is bloody depressing.

It is depressing and I think to finish with 45 points is optimistic, I just don’t see the club going on any sort of run at all.

I just went through our games and only got to 16! Then again if you look at my position in the prediction leagues I am not a great at this predicting lark, I would imagine we both have us down for the getting the first 3 on Sunday, if we don't then lord help us!

Like I said, 21 is the absolute maximum I can see. Could be more but only if we crash out of the cups.

I'd say 18 is much more likely so not far off your 16 at all.

This game was at Selhurst park if I remember correctly, forward line of Fox , Anderton, Ginola, Klinsmann and Sir Les and we nearly went down that season
