Chelsea have finished the season strongly, but still appear to be a club in crisis so unlikely to have the consistency for a PL campaign.
Poch has left Chelsea.
Beautiful timing.Poch has left Chelsea.
Very surprising, he was starting to get them drilled into his system.

They finished 12th last season and climbed to 6th in this campaign.
Lost one league game in the last 15 and had a ton of injuries.
Turned Cole Palmer into the player with the most goal contributions in the league (32).
Got 17 goals out of Nicholas Jackson.
Reached a final and a semi-final, losing to Liverpool and City via solitary, late goals.
There's some suggestion that he wanted out because of transfer bullshit.
Let's hope that he buggers off to another league.
Wow.
That is huge news.
I really thought they were starting to turn a corner towards the end of the season.
He needs to choose his next move very carefully. PSG and Chelsea are simply scum of the earth and have ruined far bigger names than his.
As for Chelsea? Alfie has hit the nail on the head: I can now go back to feeling pure hatred towards them without a shred of nostalgia for Poch.
For Villa the step up to the CL will be a huge one and I think their success next season will depend on the real financial situation there and it's implications this summer.
There are already plenty of rumours that they will be forced to sell a number of key players despite CL money, and are already being linked with relatively cheap options as replacements (Ross Barkley is apparently close to agreeing a move there).
Barcelona? Although 'frying pan' and 'fire' comes to mind!Wow.

He's said in the past that he'd never manage Barca, which probably rules him out, even if he changed his mind.Barcelona? Although 'frying pan' and 'fire' comes to mind!![]()
Bizarre by Chelsea.
Tuchel would be my bet.
I can’t see how De Zerbi or McKenna are an improvement on him at all.
Hence my suggestionI know he managed us and then Chelsea which certainly annoyed a fanbase that adored him.
But if he managed Barca after saying he’d never manage them due to his loyalty to Espanyol then perhaps he’s a bigger fool than many of us realised!

Yup. Seems like the owners have been getting too involved on the managerial side of things and Pochettino wasn’t willing to be the ‘yes’ man that Clearlake clearly want.
They may have a lot of money, but they don’t seem to have much sense.
The new owners sacked Tuchel within a few weeks of taking over, so I doubt they'd reconsider.

They have to sell a few players for FFP so maybe Poch just wasn’t happy with the ones they’re looking to offload? Thinking of Gallagher and Chalobah in particular.
His next move will be interesting. Some big jobs are available. Bayern to get the gang back together with Kane and Dier?
