Fergie won the league in his last season. Admittedly the team was on the decline but he still left a very good team. Following him was always going to be impossible though.

Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Carrick and Berbatov were all in decline whilst Scholes and Giggs had been coaxed out of retirement homes for one last hurrah.

That team won the league on fumes and sheer willpower.

Leicester will start the season on minus points I take it?

An I missing something, or does it not seem completely unfair that any deductions to Leicester should be applied before they go up?
Hardly seems right that they get a load of premier league money and then get sanctioned with a points deduction once they’re already in the premier league.

Leeds losing 4-0 :emoticon-0136-giggl
Leicester back in the PL

Leeds were absolutely dreadful last night. Couldn’t handle the pressure, and the set up and formation was all over the place. they actually reminded me of what it can be like watching Tottenham!

An interesting game coming up today between Hull and Ipswich, though. Hull went and beat Coventry away the other night, and they’re hunting that final playoff spot. Could easily see Ipswich losing today, meaning that they’ll need 2 wins from 2, if Leeds beat Southampton.
If Ipswich win today, it’ll just about cement Leeds to the playoffs, but a defeat is gonna make the end of the season very interesting in the championship.
To think Leeds could finish on 93 points and not get promoted automatically, when they won the league 5 years ago with the same number of points, and 10 points more than the team in second! all jokes aside, you’d be gutted if you were a Leeds fan. Brutal.

Yeah I think the points deduction should have been done this season rather than next. Not sure why it wasnt tbh.

David Moyes is going to take his coat off at the final whistle and reveal a half Man Utd, half Everton top.
People that buy these should be shot though, obviously:

Important for Spurs that the Poool are
still in the title race up to their Villa game
(unless Spurs are already being dead for 4th) .
