But we are a special case because we are on the edge of doing great things but never quite make it. No other club in the PL is in that position. We are in the group with City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and United. All of those teams have won stuff recently whereas we haven't but we are usually in the mix. It's unique and it's Spursy.

Spurf! You're better than that ;-)

If we had scored two own goals in the last few minutes to give the opposition a draw in an important match it would be called Spursy. The only reason you can't associate that concept with other teams is that the name doesn't work. Manchester Unitedy doesn't really have the same resonance. So basically I'm saying is that Spursy either doesn't exist or all teams are capable of being their version of it. And it always annoys me as if Spurs are some special case.
It’s just called playing appallingly badly.

Utter self destruction.

Utd were on control of the game and just imploded in the second half; much like the second half implosion at Liverpool. Fortunately, Sevilla didn’t have any forwards on the pitch until near the end and so didn’t capitalise on it like Liverpool did.

Manky?

United are the team we are most likely to displace imo. Their second leg just got a whole lot harder, and they have a tricky away trip to Forest sandwiched in between, followed by the FA cup semi final against Brighton and an away trip to us, then they face resurgent Villa and are away to Brighton a few days later. They play every 3-4 days from now until almost the end of the season. More if they somehow get past Sevilla.

Their fixture list is both packed and demanding. If it's between them or Newcastle, my money is on United dropping out.

Their pts total is way above what one measure
suggest they should have. Looking more into
that, they have been stacking up a lot of
"clean sheet"wins. Which suggests to me that they
are sufficiently durable to finish in the top 4.

Why the **** is Blackburn v Hull on at 7.45pm tomorrow?
6th v 16th in the battle to be home by midnight. Bullshit.

Ollie ollie watkins. Im pretty sure someone recommended him around these parts a while back <whistle>

Man is a complete striker

I think you are right, young sir! Once again it looks like we have screwed up. With top 4 ready to be taken, what happens? We come down with a dose of serious Spursy.Come on! Villa do us a favour and we give Bournemouth 3 points as a thank you.Newcastle v Spurs? Why bother?Newcastle deserve it more than us (and United!).Good luck to them and their manager. I wonder how much giving up the CL place will cost Spurs in revenue? The club and the players wallets? I hope Levy will be in tears! p.s. Bournemouth's 3rd goal showed why our defence is..........!

St Totteringham's Day will be celebrated for the first time in almost 7 years if the result stays the same.

tbf, they could have celebrated it at Christmas. If not before! <laugh>

they better hope they win the league, though. Regardless of finishing above us, it will be the biggest bottle job ever if they don’t win it now. it won’t just be spurs fans laughing at their expense otherwise!
