BREAKING NEWS
The team made to look like prime Barcelona by Spurs have just been knocked out of the FA Cup by a League Two team.

Good ebening.
Villa had 79% possession and 17 shots. Stevenage had 2 shots on target! <laugh>
That's what happens when you don't kill teams off. I was worried on Saturday for that exact reason.

To concede 2 goals in after the 88th minute to a leagues two team at home, when you are 1 nil ahead is truly appalling.

Potter has had success by getting teams to punch above their weight. He might be a good coach, who can improve players and a good tactician. He gets average teams and players to perform above average. And was doing it very well at Brighton. But he has no experience of managing big name players brought in for big transfer fees and on big wages at a club who demand instant results. He doesn’t have the record and experience at the top level to necessarily gain respect. That can make it difficult to get players to buy into his ideas straightaway and do what’s asked of them. It makes it hard to be ruthless in terms of selection or make demands on some players. He needs time to shape his team, gain their confidence and respect and get results which enable them to compete for trophies. He won’t get that time at Chelsea.

Steve Evans seems to have done an impressive job with Stevenage in a short time. From candidates for relegation to oblivion to promotion challengers - and now a Cup giantkilling
Good ebening

He is one of the most disliked managers in the game, but the job he is doing at Stevenage on what I guess is a very low budget, is just fantastic. Pleased they won today as I’m no lover of Aston Villa as a club.

Obviously their form takes a dip when they don't have the ref who lives in the Midlands who they have a 100% record whenever he officiates their games...
