The offside rule has always been controversial and VAR has not solved that situation it has just reduced the margins by which you can be offside to millimeters. If VAR is to be continued (which I suspect it will because TV loves it) then they need to update the offside rules to suit the new situation. As others have said the advantage should be with the attacker because the defender has already failed by allowing the attacker to get in a shot. The defence should not therefore be awarded for failure. I like the idea of only feet being offside, it is FOOTball after all.

Leicester looking like a club in trouble already. Not only losing every week but clearly issues in the team.
When you are lucky to concede only five and players are blaming each other so publicly, you can see it’s not a happy ship. They are a shadow of the team of recent years. Rodgers’ days might be numbered.

I see the PL have demanded an urgent meeting with the PGMOL to discuss recent controversial VAR decisions.

Talks will analyse which of Liverpool, City, United or Chelsea should benefit from bent decisions and, if so, at which stage of the season. Delegates will also analyse recent research produced by Accenture which assesses the relative ability of officials to show favour to four teams at once without it being obvious.

I wouldn’t say he’s a fraud but Rodgers can’t build teams, he’s good at coming in and coaching players to their maximum but when it comes to making signings, his record isn’t great. Leicester need someone who is proven at rejuvenating their tired aging squad

Not according to Skys pundits of morons, to be fair Merson is useless and biased, Hasselbaink just a **** pundit no idea why he is doing this when his day job is going so badly, Keane thought correctly thought it was a foul, but being strangely non confrontational about it.

He just gets none of the ball and makes plenty of contact with the player.
It's the knee to Eriksen's thigh that makes him give it, I think.
Bit of a shove too, but he'd get away with it if it was just that, in my opinion.
