Must be a weird feeling for pool fans.
Win two trophies but lose two others in a 6 day period.
Apart from them and City any other Prem club would consider two trophies and a top 4 spot a very good / great season.

Salah's managed to bottle the AFCoN, World Cup qualification, the Premier League and Champions League since the start of the year

So much for avenging 2018...

These two posts make me look kind, balanced and well meaning...

**** you HBIC ... no gets to make me look like a suck up <grr>

The fact is that winning both domestic cups and being runners up in the league and champions league should be an amazing season by anyones standards.

Being seen as the less desirable option when facing Los Ladrones do Madrid, The Sheikh Mansour Team and Chelsea is also impressive on the part of their fans, manager, and media sycophants

Looking and hearing very mixed reports from media and social media on what happened in Paris lastnight before and after the game even down to the fact that the messages as to why the game was delayed in Spanish and English differed from a security issue in Spanish to lateness and forged tickets. Will we get a report from UEFA ? The way reports are going in the world today I won't hold my breath

Not being there and only going off various reports i can only go off this, the Madrid supporters had no problems and filled there end of the ground before kick off.
Was there a difference in arrival times by both sets, did a large amount of Liverpool supporters turn up without tickets and hope to get through the outer perimeter causing blockages or are every police force biased against Liverpool supporters?
Not wishing to be judgemental or nasty but they do seem to be involved in this kind of incident far more than others.

I’ve no doubt the French police likely escalated scenarios, it’s no secret a lot of police in various countries are more than happy going in heavy handed on football fans for little or no reason (though our own aren’t always angels either) but so far I’ve also seen:

Videos of Pool fans jumping barricades.
UEFA statement and a French minister saying that thousands of Pool fans had counterfeit tickets which is what caused the backlogs their end - and there are even tweets being brought up of some of them boasting that they had a counterfeit as if it were gonna work <doh>.
A Liverpool fan on Twitter - who’s since deactivated his account - celebrating that he managed to bunk his Dad into the ground.
A video after the game of two Pool fans sucker punching a Madrid fan celebrating their win.

So yeah, forgive me if my sympathy levels for them aren’t too high.

Klopp post game " When the goalkeeper is man-of-the- match, then something is wrong , **** me , a goalkeeper doing the job he's paid for , that's clearly not acceptable for him
He was also getting his excuses in before kickoff by moaning about the pitch

It's a matter of time until Norbert tries to blame the delayed kickoff, isn't it?

And let's not forget that their previous behaviour got English clubs banned from European competitions for 5 seasons; it seems that they don't learn. Maybe they need club officials to actually chaperone them to their games and pre-screen their tickets before getting to the ground.

Seen a lot of Pool fans on social media bemoaning the fact that the Courtois was man of the match and citing all the chances that they created proving that they were the better side. I accept that Courtois was top drawer last night, but of the saves he made only the Mane 1 in the first half was truly outstanding, the reaction to save Salahs shot was a decent stop too, but other than that he was a just commanding figure who did his job better than the Liverpool forwards.

Courtois dominated his area well.
His saves were comfortable IMHO other than the Salah
one in the 2nd half (which was excellent) .

The problem the Poool had is that Madrid seemed to
always have an "out ball" from their box defence,
so the likes of Kroos and Modric could take the ball
away upfield to prevent any prolonged periods of
needing siege defending.

In the 2nd half that worsened by the Poool having to
commit more, and but for sloppy passing / decision
making on the counter, Madrid would have punished them.
